Mother’s Day Gift Guide ** WIN **

Just like that the weeks are flying by and Mother’s Day is almost here leaving me in a real panic. Although I am usually quite good with ideas I do find Mother’s Day hard as not only has it just been Christmas but it’s my Mums birthday in early April which means I struggle for gift inspiration! This year I have compiled a list of Mother’s Day gifts which I think would be lovely for not just my own Mum, but me too.  If you can’t use your own blog to drop hints to your husband then when can you?!

1. Sara Miller London Portmeirion Chelsea 3 Tier Cake Stand

For Mums who love to bake, or even Mums who just like to eat cake, the Sara Miller London Portmeirion Chelsea 3 Tier Cake Stand is a gorgeous gift. Made from beautiful fine china and decorated with 22 carat gold, it comes in a gorgeous presentation box and is the most impressive way to display your cakes or enjoy afternoon tea at home. RRP £54.50.

2. Dark Horse Rose Wine

If you’re stuck for gift ideas and your Mum (or you!) enjoy a glass of wine then the Dark Horse Rose is a refreshing choice with fresh strawberry, raspberry, citrus and floral notes. It’s easy to drink and rose always reminds me of sunny days which we could all do with right now! RRP £8.

3. Tootsa PANTHERA organic sweatshirt

I love this gorgeous PANTHERA organic sweatshirt from Tootsa made from 100% organic cotton. It’s so cosy and soft and I love the colourful leopard print design and you can even twin with the kids as it comes in both adult and children’s sizes. Available in sizes small to extra large the sweatshirt is priced at £65 and sales from the sweatshirts will go directly to the incredible work ‘Surfers Against Sewage’ for the charities #beachcleans campaign and work within schools.

I would like to win as this would make a great Mother’s Day gift – not for my own mum, but for a lovely neighbour who has had her own version of an ‘Annus horribilis’, so it would be nice to give her something lovely to let her know how highly her neighbours as well as her family think of her. All of her children have had various problems, her grandson had a big operation and her 2 brothers both had major medical issues: one diagnosed with cancer; the other required several life-saving surgeries for brain tumours, haemorrhaging and other complications. She’s been constantly worried, running around after everyone like a blue-arse fly and is one of the nicest people we know, and even feeds our cats when we are not going to be home. She really is a jewel, a diamond, and deserves something good to happen for her. I won’t deny when I first saw the prize I thought of myself, but quickly dismissed that idea in favour of someone who does even more for other people than I do.
