Review: Hatchimals Fabula Forest Tigrette
Ever since Christmas 2016, when I spent hours frantically trying to get my hands on a Hatchimal for Eva, my girls have been obsessed. Since that very first Hatchimal they have gone on to have the Hatchimals Surprise Eggs this Christmas just gone, countless Hatchimals Colleggtible toys and so inevitably they were first in line to review the new Hatchimals from Fabula Forest!

There are two new species of Hatchimals to collect, the Puffatoo and Tigrette, and the girls were delighted to discover that they would have a Tigrette. Undoubtedly the most exciting part for my children is the hatching process, and they were beside themselves when we unboxed the egg!

For those who have never had a Hatchimals egg before, the idea is that you play with the egg and encourage it to hatch! From the moment you take it out of the box the magic begins, with adorable little noises and glowing lights from inside.

My girls take the hatching process very seriously, and the anticipation on their faces is clear to see. “I hope it’s the pink one!” the girls whispered to each other.

After just a little time playing with the egg the hatching process began, and the Hatchimal starts to peck away at the shell.

After pecking it’s way around the entire shell you can simply lift the top half to reveal which Hatchimals character is inside! The children were over the moon to discover they had the pink Tigrette after all!

With super soft stripey fur and shiny metallic ears, the girls loved that their new Hatchimal was different to the ones they’d had previously. “Ahh it’s so cute!!” Megan said, “I want to call it Stripey!” Eva exclaimed.

While the hatch is one special moment in time, the fun continues as you nurture and care for your Hatchimal from baby to toddler to child. With Hatchimals aimed at children aged 5+ I can totally see where that target age has come from. As soon as the egg hatched Harry, at 3, lost interest, where as Eva, at 6, couldn’t wait to start teaching “Stripey” to walk, talk and play games!

Puffattoo and Tigrette come with new games and music which was really exciting for the girls, “Ooh this is new!” Eva told me, her eyes lighting up with surprise. We loved the party feel of the new Fabula Forest Hatchimals, and it was lovely to see the girls dancing away with their new friend!
There are lots of games to play, including Tune Tag, Musical Moves, and Rhythm Repeat, and the best thing is that as you Hatchimal grows, there is more and more fun at every stage! I notice the older Eva gets the more patience she has to take the time to learn the games and work out how to get the most from her Hatchimals.

Eva loved that you can teach your Hatchimal to say your name and they’ll repeat it back to you every day as they play, and even say “I love you!”. I think it’s safe to say the feeling is mutual and Tigrette has made one little girl very happy indeed!

Hatchimals Fabula Forest are priced at £59.99 and available from all good toy stores. Visit www.Hatchimals.com for more fun and games, and also download the free app to explore Hatchtopia, play games and more.

Ooooh that’s cool. At first I thought it was that giant sweet ball that was on trend when I was in school and in which you have a massive chewing gum. I guess that is an even better surprise!
Mika
Haha I know what you mean! It’s a great surprise inside though! xx
My 7 year old desperatly wanted a hatchimal a couple of christmases age! They look so cool! X
They were like gold dust when they first came out weren’t they?! The girls are still crazy about them! xx
They are very cute… I have always loved little toys like this from my tamagotchi days, so look for any excuse to buy them for my nieces for birthday presents etc 😀 Your little ones look totally engrossed in it hatching out, so sweet! 🙂
I loved my tamagotchi too! I think anything interactive like this is always a huge hit! xx
I’ve heard SO much about hatchimals, but I didn’t actually realise what they did. I had no idea you could see it hatching from outside the egg, I have to say I’m pretty impressed.
Haha yes! I was the same the first time they had one, my parents especially found it fascinating! xx
My daughter loves and adores Hatchimals, your photos and review is so comprehensive. Loved the look on your daughter’s faces when she started to see it hatch.
It was priceless, she was over the moon that they got the pink one too! xx
Aww my little boy would love one of these! X
My girls were over the moon with it Gemma! xx
What a lovely toy, so good that you managed to get it for your daughter. it looks so very cute .
Thanks Nayna, she loves it! xx
Aww I’ve never seen inside a big Hatchimal! They’re so cute! My little girlie would love one, but I still think they’re a bit pricey for what they are. We’ve played with a lot of the mini Hatchimals though and they’re fun too x
Yes Sarah I remember gritting my teeth a little with the first one we bought but when I see how much they have played with it I realise it was worth it, they absolutely adore teaching them new things and playing the games! xx
We have three hatchimals and the kids love the process of hatching them. The newer ones seem to do more too which is good
Yes mine too! It’s a shame you can’t put them back inside the egg and do it over and over! xx
Alice loves Hatchimals. I agree that the age range is spot on, as Holly has no interest in them once they are hatched. Alice too would be hoping for the pink one! I love that it says your name, that’s so cute. x
Yes I think the hatching process is the main draw for a lot of children, I know the older mine get the more they get out of them. xx
