As a family we have been trying to take care of ourselves better, eat a little healthier and most of all, making sure that the children are getting their 5 a day and boosting their immune systems from all of these Summer colds and viruses floating about! I’ll be honest with you, my children aren’t massive fans of vegetables (and by that I mean unless it’s hidden, it won’t be going in their mouths!), and whilst they do enjoy fruit, they are creatures of habit and draw the line at anything “different”. For that reason we have been introducing delicious smoothies that we can all enjoy, and that’s where the Nutri Ninja Lite has been a huge hit!
We’ve never tried Ninja products before, having always had an alternative well known brand, and yet I had heard amazing things about them, particular the Nutri Ninjas. With a powerful 700 watt motor and Ninjas’s Patented Pro Extractor Blades, it claims to crush ice, whole fruits and vegetables with no fuss.
Complete with two Durable, BPA free and dishwasher safe cups and Ninja’s Sip & Seal® lids, it’s super easy to make a smoothie to take with you on the go. And we couldn’t wait to try it!
We decided to make a smoothie using apple, avocado, blueberries and spinach, making sure that it was sweet enough for the children to enjoy, but adding in some essential fats and antioxidants.
There is no need to chop up the ingredients, although can if you like, but we did remove the stone and the peel from the avocado.
Once the ingredients are ready it’s a case of placing it all in the cup, placing it onto the Nutri-Ninja, switching it on and you’re good to go!
It’s pretty impressive how fast the Nutri Ninja blends the ingredients and, in no time at all, it was done and the real test was in the taste!
Thankfully it was a big hit with the children and both Gaz and I and we will definitely be trying out more creations over the Summer together. With an RRP of £59.99 for the Nutri Ninja (although currently on offer at £39.99) and a RRP of £19.99 for an extra two large cups I would go as far as saying that it is the best blender we have had so far, and at a fraction of the cost!
To win your very own Nutri Ninja Lite and two spare Ninja cups (worth a combined £79.99) simply enter via the link below. One lucky winner will be chosen at random and announced on August 26th. Good Luck!
