I don’t know about you but when it comes to buying for my teenage son I find it hard work! Once they reach a certain age they already have pretty much everything they want, or the few things they do want cost the earth! I have found gifts for all budgets, for teen boys and girls, and some that actually I’d quite like myself!
The first is this t-shirt from Art of Football. They have some amazing gifts such as prints, t-shirts and sweaters with these t-shirts ranging from 5-14 years. Lewis is a die hard Manchester United fan so I’m sure he will love this t-shirt, although they have a huge list of other football teams to choose from. RRP £14.99.
We all know how much teenagers love their phones and these smart gloves from Prezzy box are just what every teenager needs! Available in black and pink they allow you to use your touch screen whilst wearing gloves and will not damage or scratch your screen! RRP £4.99.
If your teen loves pizza as much as mine does, there is no better gift than a KitchPro pizza oven! The pizza oven has two vital components, a ceramic baking stove to give your pizza that authentic Italian crust, and dual heating elements that bake the pizza from above below. I love there is a window in the lid so you can watch the pizza cook, making it impossible for you, or your teen, to burn it! You can also cook frozen pizzas in it too, and with just ten minutes to bake its perfect for growing teens who are always hungry! At £89.99 this is a gift that I know my son would go crazy for!
A really fab item which is sure to be a hit with teenagers is this RCA 2-in-1 Saturn 10 PRO Android Tablet from Asda. The Saturn 10 Pro runs on Android 6.0 using a 1.3Ghz processor with 1GB RAM and features built in Wi-Fi and speaker. The Saturn 10 Pro’s internal memory is a huge 32GB and the orientation detecting capacitive touch screen is an impressive 10.1 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 800. There are also front and rear 2 megapixel cameras, perfect for taking photos when out and about.
Unlike other more expensive tablets on the market, the Saturn 10 Pro is equipped with a detachable smart keyboard with a pressure sensing trackpad which clips on magnetically so it can be used as a stand-alone tablet or quickly transformed into a working laptop, great for homework! It also uses Bluetooth, a built in Micro SD card slot, GPS, a USB port and a HDMI output to connect to the TV! Currently on offer at £109, I think it’s an absolute bargain!!
I love buying Lewis something that gets his brain working in a fun way, and this DIY Speaker from Tech will save us does exactly that. It’s fun, hands-on kit for kids that teaches them how to build a speaker by soldering together the components in the box. It’s perfect for kids and teens who are ready to take on more advanced projects and really get into the nitty-gritty of how circuits and electronics work. I love that you can turn just about anything into a speaker, even a balloon, and the website constantly keeps updating with new ideas. RRP £34.99.
This Smartphone telescope from the Discovery Channel is a fab stocking filler for teenagers. The Smartphone Telescope comes with a clip and supporting stand, meaning it can be easily attached to smartphones or tablet, or set on the stand for an even steadier image. A great way to capture perfect photos from a distance, this ingenious mobile accessory is a great new way of seeing the world, and helps create fantastically detailed photos to upload and share with friends. At just £14.99 it’s something I’m sure Lewis will love to find in his stocking!
I think it’s safe to say that most teenagers own a mobile phone so these tech21 Evo wallet phone cases are a great gift idea. Available to fit Android and iphones, the cases feature concealed storage for two cards and will protect your phone from 10ft drops, over over again. Thin and lightweight they are super stylish unlike other bulkier protective cases and, although a little pricier at £39.95, are totally worth it to protect expensive mobile phones.
As a parent of a teen I think it’s so important to buy presents to keep them active and this Madd VX7 scooter is just the job! With Japanese chromoly Neo Chrome bars and a substantial anodised deck, this scooter looks great and rides like a dream! It’s also limited edition so if you think your teen would like one, you need to act fast! RRP £199.95.
The original speaker pillow is the ultimate gift for lazy teenagers who, like mine, are never happier than lying in bed. Available from Prezzybox the soft pillow is not only somewhere to rest your head but it also has speakers built inside to listen to music or the television without the need for headphones!
It’s also a great idea for audio books or revision tapes and even better, you can use it whilst travelling too! I think this is such a great idea and at £14.99 it’s a really affordable gift this Christmas.
For teens who like to take care of their skin this amazing device from Magnitone is sure to be a hit! This First Step compact daily cleansing brush uses vibra-sonic technology and antibacterial bristles to deep-cleanse, control impurities and reduce excess oils, for more balanced, healthy skin and a reduction in breakouts. At £40 it’s a great starter product for your teen to really take care of their skin.
If your teen is active like mine, a GoPro is a really great way of allowing them to capture some of those moments on camera. Lewis is a huge fan of skiing and there is no better way to capture action sports than with the Hero 5 session . Experience the power of GoPro in a small, light and easy to use camera with no need for a separate housing thanks to the durable design, waterproof up to 33ft. A single button powers on the camera and it starts recording automatically, letting you shoot footage in seconds. Take stunning 4K video, 10 megapixel photos in single, burst, and time lapse modes.
Although there are many action cameras out there, GoPro is, in my opinion, by far the best. Nothing shoots in quite the same way, or is as easy to use, wear and edit. Priced at £250 it’s a gift that will really grow with your teen.
When you’re a teenager, nothing spells disaster quite like your phone battery running out, which is where the Lords Verto Pebble charger comes in! The Pebble Verto will charge most popular portable devices, key features include a lightning cable for charging iPhone 5/6 and 4; additional tips for most popular smartphones; mini credit card sized portable design; auto shutoff mode and a powerful portable battery charger with approx. 2/12 full charges of most smartphones. At £25 it’s a great gift for not only fans of their phones but also a really fab gift for cricket fans!
For the teen who loses everything (I have one of those too!) the TrackR Pixel and TrackR Bravo are the perfect gift to ensure nothing is ever lost again! Tag your important items with the TrackR pixel and let the TrackR app keep track of everything for you and use your phone to make your TrackR pixel ring and light up, so you can find any misplaced item quickly. If you can’t find your phone, press the button on your TrackR to make it ring and when you’re far away from your missing item, TrackR’s crowd technology will confidentially update your app and show your item’s last known location on the map. Amazing right?
Priced between £27.50 and £99.99 they may seem a little pricy but having got one myself, let me tell you that the amount of time they save you is invaluable! Plus the amount of arguments they will prevent when your teen is rummaging around for his school bag in the morning or, god forbid, his lost phone, really is priceless!
I love these Cozy phones and in a world where teenagers seem to permanently be listening to headphones, they are a really useful gift idea. In a range of styles from childrens, adults, active and sleep wear, the headphones are built into a really cozy band to be worn around the head with inbuilt speakers to plug into your favourite device. They even come complete with a really handy travel bag. Prices start at £11.99 and a sufferer of tinnitus, I recommend the sleep range for parents too!
Bath bombs are always a popular gift but this make your own bath bomb gift set from Naissance is a really lovely idea! This kit contains all the ingredients you will need to make beautiful, natural and fizztastic bath bombs using Geranium and Lemon essential oils. I love that all Naissance products are cruelty free, vegan friendly, and contain no hidden nasties. They also smell amazing! RRP £14.99.
Well it wouldn’t be a teenage gift guide without unicorns would it? These unicorn slippers from Find me a gift are super cute, super soft and super comfortable! Available up to a size 7 I’d be happy to open these on Christmas morning too! Currently on offer at £11.99.
Lastly we have the most stunning Beautify Set of 2 Vintage-Style Steel Bedroom Storage Trunks in cream and rose gold. Incredibly practical and super-stylish; this traditionally-designed set of 2 Beautify Storage Trunks will make an elegant addition to any home, and I’m sure any teenage girls bedroom! They are such a versatile way to store away make up or toiletries, or to use as a stylish bedside table or even to store away clothes.
