Christmas gift guide for children aged 4+ *win*

This year more than any other, at four and five, Eva and Megan are ridiculously excited for Christmas. They’ve had their lists ready since September, counting down the days, and although I’ve had no issues whatsoever finding plenty gifts for them and other children we buy for, I thought I would share our favourites for those who might be struggling!

Top of Eva’s list this year are roller skates, and this gorgeous pair from Skatehut are exactly what she described! These semi-soft Vinyl Quad Roller Skates with a High-top upper for ankle support not only look great but I’m sure they will see her whizzing around in no time! Currently on offer at £34.95, I have snapped them up and stashed them away!

If your children enjoy subscription boxes then look no further than Fred’s Box. They have boxes aimed at 3-12 year olds and as well as subscriptions you can also purchase one off gifts. Fred’s mystery subscription box is just £11.99 and yet contains all sorts of goodies such as an age appropriate reading book, trading cards, Fred’s Box pencil, design your own postcards and stickers. There are themed boxes for girls, boys, unisex, even twins and siblings! We are huge fans so impressed with both the website and service.

We recently discovered Lightseekers and they quite literally blew my mind! Lightseekers is a groundbreaking action adventure role playing video game that seamlessly connects smart action figures, physical trading cards, comics and more. The game is free to download with no in-app purchases and works on mobile phones and tablets, figures and accessories connect via Bluetooth. There are various figures available to buy including this one, Tyrax, which I know my children will love to add to their collection! RRP £29.99.

Pitter Patter Wiggle Jiggle Pets are the perfect stocking filler and utterly adorable too! Wiggle Jiggle Pets are wobbly bundles of fun! From Mohawk hamsters to pandas and guinea pigs, they will make you smile with their wiggling smiles! Collect all six and create your own furry family! Alongside the Wiggle Jiggle pets is this Pitter Patter Pets Hamster Roll playset. The playset gives you your very own furry hamster family and then the box turns into a playset for hours of fun! There’s a tunnel, play area and even a ball that your furry friends can take turns rolling around in. With three hamsters, a playball, a hamster house and beds this is a fab playset and currently just £12.50 at The Entertainer.

A store we haven’t seen before is www.how-store.com who have the most fabulous range of quirky gifts from jewellery, stationery, accessories and homewares. I love these pin badges, earrings, temporary tattoos and stick on nail decorations, just to name a few! My girls love anything to do with unicorns and this store has so many amazing unicorn products! They really do make the perfect stocking fillers and with items starting at just £1 they are so affordable!

For months now Eva has been asking for a camera, a phone and a video camera….and the Vtech Kididcom Max has all three and more! Available in blue and pink the Kidicom Max is so much more than just a messaging device. Using a wireless connection your child can exchange messages with family and friends, take photos and videos, play a variety of fun games with popular characters, listen to music, watch their favourite cartoon shows and browse the internet through the kid-safe, parent controlled browser!

I love that it also connects to V-techs learning lodge so your child can access learning apps, e-books and a whole host of games and videos. RRP £89.99 and, having already had a play of it myself, I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. This is definitely going to last Eva for years to come!

Is there anything that children love more than mermaids?  I know my girls would go crazy for these mermaid blankets, just £14.99 at coolstuff.com.

These cosy tube shaped blankets are finished off with a fin and will keep you lovely and warm at the same time! 100% acrylic they are machine washable and even better, they also come in adult sizes!! I know exactly what’s going on my list!!

Another great gift idea is something which encourages young children to get active, even in the winter months. My girls love to swim so these swimming costumes from Halocline are the perfect present! I love this Pop Fizz Sparkle chlorine resistant print which is exclusive to the Simply Swim website. They have some gorgeous designs including some festive styles featuring snowmen, santa and penguins too! At £22 they are really good quality and a great fit, I recommend them!

As much as I like my girls to play with toys and stay small for as long as possible, when it comes to nail polish they are obsessed! During the school holidays they love to wear nail polish and especially sparkly nail art and stickers! Although the Unique Boutique nail art set is aimed at 7+ I think with adult supervision, and assistance, it’s a lovely set for budding nail technicians! It includes  2-in-1 nail art pens, 3 x nail polish, Pot of sparkling gems, Pot of glitter, Nail file, Applicator, Colour mixing dish, Stick-on gems and is currently just £7.50 at The Entertainer!!

With 10 shopping category buttons, seven different sounds and 30 items included, this is the ideal toy for budding little business owners! Currently just £19.99 at The Entertainer this is definitely one of the best tills we have come across.

I was in-sure where to place these items in my gift guides as I think as much as Harry and the girls will love them, I think at 13 Lewis would enjoy them too! From Wicked, these outdoor toys have scope for so much fun and as a family I think they may well be the first “toy” we have come across which will suit all four of the children across the ages.

This Glow in the Dark Booma is made of unbreakable phosphorescent polymer and looks truly amazing as it lights up the night sky. It comes with a chemical glow stick which is inserted into the centre of the boomerang for maximum effect. With a flight range of 15-20 metres it looks like fun!

The Ukick was voted Best New Toy at London Toy Fair and is tipped to be the biggest playground craze of the year! Fusing elements of badminton and street football, the aim is to keep UKick off the ground for as long as you can using your hands and feet.

The Mega Bounce XTR is amazing! Drop it onto a hard surface and it’ll bounce 85% of its original height!Throw it down hard hard and watch it soar way higher than a 2 storey building!

With Play Stuff Sands Alive you can bring all the fun of a sandy beach to your bedroom but without the mess.
