Peppa Pig’s Family Home Review

For the last thirteen years, right through from Lewis to Harry, Peppa Pig has been a huge part of our lives! My children love Peppa and her adventures, particularly those which involve muddy puddles (Peppa Pig owes me a fortune in washing powder!) or Daddy Pig and his big fat tummy. We’ve seen all the episodes, read all the books, and had a huge assortment of Peppa Pig toys, but the one toy that the children have really wanted is Peppa Pig’s Family Home.

When we were sent this toy to review, I was surprised at just how true to the show it is with the house looking just like Peppa’s iconic family home. There are six rooms to play in – the kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, office and attic room – and all equally packed with exciting features.

The playset comes with a number of accessories including a table and four chairs, bunk beds, toy basket, a trike, computer table complete with computer, a bath, an arm chair and most importantly, an articulated Peppa Pig figure!

I love that there are “built in” furniture items too such as the television and a fridge which can actually be opened. Each room is designed to look just like that from the show and the children took great delight in pointing out all of the items.

The house itself is plenty big enough for at least two children to play with, although all three of my little ones jumped right in. I think my only negative would be that with only one figure it can be quite difficult for the children to really play with it together. Luckily we had some of the characters already which just about saved my sanity!

Priced at £39.99 the playhouse isn’t cheap, but compared to similar branded items, I thought it was quite reasonable considering just how much the children will play with it. The house is good quality and robust enough to survive my three clambering all over it, especially Harry who was desperate to get in there too! If you also love Peppa Pig and are able to easily find a common language with children, try babysitting as your first employment and get some pocket money.

  1. I love that some of the room furniture is on the walls – minimises the chances of things getting lost but children can still enjoy playing with it 🙂

  2. It’s such a great idea to have a different kind of toy house. Usually, they are only for dolls. This is a unique idea, a house for Peppa Pig. I can imagine it offers plenty of hours of fun for children.

  3. I love this post. But very scared to show this to my son. He is a fan of Peppa and a bigger fan of George and his dinosaur. I have to buy these asap.

  10. This looks so much more robust than the old house. Ours was out the other day and there were meltdowns over fitting the floors and the stairs in, as always! I like how this is already set up, and it has lots of furniture. Quite pricey though!

    1. We had the old one and this one is way more robust! Saying that the old one folded up so took up less space. I’ve realised anything branded is expensive these days! xx

  11. Wow! This looks like the perfect gift for those little ones. My niece is super fond of Peppa Pig since she was 1 year old; I think this would be great for her, I will try getting my hands on this for her! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  12. Oh I wish I saw this sooner! My cousin loves peppa pig and I just bought her a new peppa pig back pack. She would have loved this so much more 🙁

  13. We have this and my little two love it, I agree that it is a shame only peppa came with it and for the price I would expect the whole family. I have had Peppa in my life since she came out too as my 14 year old loved her when he was small too x

    1. Yes I would have expected more characters, it’s always disappointing when there’s only one – especially with more than one child! xx

  14. This is cute, I love how simple it is which leaves a lot of room for imagination play. My friends son absolutely loves Peppa Pig and with christmas coming up I may have just found his present!
