Introducing Joie Every Stage™ fx Signature car seat

As a Mum of five I have spent a small fortune on car seats over the years. Back when Lewis was a baby it was a case of buying a new car seat with every stage he reached, from his newborn carry cot to his first forward facing, and all were very basic. Fourteen years on and I am astounded by how much has changed in a relatively short space of time, and yet with three more little ones to buy for, I am always incredibly grateful!

Last year we were very fortunate to be sent our first Joie Stages Isofix, from birth to seven years, and honestly, from the moment we fitted it into our car, I was converted. When friends come to me for car seat advice, like the baby guru I have become from having my own tribe, I tell them every time, buy a Joie car seat, you won’t regret it. And they don’t!

And so when we were kindly offered the new Joie every stage™ fx signature car seat, I literally could not wait to try it out!!

The Joie every stage™ fx signature is described as – “Posh meets plush meets purposeful in this mega-group safety seat. Loaded with luxury and ways to make life with your little one securely grand from birth all the way up to 12 years old.” And as soon as I unboxed it I had to agree as, not only is it purposeful but, it is a super modern, sleek, and comfortable car seat in a gorgeous dark grey design.

With a beautifully aged, cognac hued faux leather trim, there is something unmistakably stylish about this seat and, although our children’s safety will always be paramount, if you could ever combine safety and style in one car seat,  this is it!

The most amazing thing about the seat is that it combines four seats in one, transforming as your child grows from birth right up to age 12! In terms of value for money and longevity, I haven’t seen anything quite like it on the market!

Even better, whilst I shudder at the sound of ‘transform’, imagining lengthy instructions and a lack of patience, it couldn’t be any easier to transform the seat between each stage, with AutoAdjust™ side wings that widen automatically as the Grow Together™ headrest and harness system is adjusted up.

INSTALLATION

Installation was incredibly easy due to the simple and easy to follow instructions which were not only included in the manual, but were on the actual seat itself – perfect if, like me, you lose everything the moment you set it down!

There is nothing complex about fitting the seat and once it is firmly secured with the ISOFIX and top tether, it feels incredibly sturdy and doesn’t budget a fraction! I have to say, it also looks great in the car too, especially with our grey interior!

THE VERDICT

So what did Harry make of it? Well given by the look on his face he couldn’t have been any happier with it! “It’s so nice and cosy!” he told us, and promptly fell asleep on our first drive out – a sure sign of the comfort factor! And with Harry just three, it’s great to know that should we take care of the seat, it will see us through for another nine years – how amazing is that?? And with a RRP of £279.99, available here at Mama’s and Papa’s, I think you’ll agree that the value for money is unbeatable!

Yet again I am blown away by Joie and their latest range and for anyone looking for a car seat to see their child through every stage, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Joie every stage™ fx signature car seat, and nor would Harry!!

  1. It looks very padded and the safety features are fantastic too, seeing the Facebook Post earlier of the joie seat unmoved after a car is totally smashed to pieces after its tyre burst and it rolled and smashed into a fence I’d say they are amazing car seats, luckily the child wasn’t in the car but the seat hasnt budged xxx

  2. This looks like such a safe and comfy car seat! And an easy one to use which is super important! I am also loving how you can use it through out the Childs growth!

  3. Good grief, that’s a lot of features. We last bought a car seat only a few years ago but they’re constantly evolving – I can’t believe the things you can get now! And to think, when I was little, my parents used to put one of us in the boot with the dog if we had extra passengers 😉
Seriously though, this is a really impressive carseat. Will have to check it out when we next upgrade.

  4. Looks like a great carseat. I found the choice so overwhelming at the time but ended up with birth-7 seats as well – though mine as way more complicated to adjust!

  5. It must be so good to have just one car seat which will last during all the ages, I can’t even begin to imagine how much money you’d spend otherwise x

  6. These padded seats looks very comfortable for the kids. I guess they are helpful and well

  7. Whilst I don’t have kids (or a car for that matter – haha!), I understand the importance of having a great car seat for your kids and this one looks ideal!

  8. I’ve not heard of Joie before but I love the look of that car seat, really sturdy and it extends and grows with yoru child so well. It’s a great colour too. Mich x

  9. Harry looks so so comfy in this – we have a Joie but it definitely doesn’t look as nice and cosy as this one!

  10. Very thorough review. I don’t have children, but I have a niece and my mom has gotten her a couple car seats. I know the one she has now was supposed to last for several stages, so that has been nice.

  11. The padded feature is amazing and looks very comfortable. I might recommend this to my cousin who’s on the look of car seat. I love the features and love how you detailed each.

  12. That looks like a great car seat. Although I’m happy that our two biggest grandsons are now at the age where they only need booster seats as we have bought a few over the years.

  13. Thanks for this, it looks like great seat. I’m all for the ones that last longer and safely. We’ve had Cybex so far and I love the safety features and design. I need to think about a new seat for B and I am always up for some inspiration, so you’ve given me some food for thought. Might have to go and have a look at one and see if it fits in my car!

  14. Looks like a fab car seat and very comfortable. So good that it can be used at every stage as otherwise it ends up costing quite a lot buying different car seats

  15. I love the fact that this seat grows with your child. My two are now tall enough to no longer need even a booster seat but it cost us an arm and a leg plus many frustrating trips to Mothercare to kit Caitlin and Ieuan out.

  16. I really love the fact it grows with your child so you don’t have to constantly up date the car seat as they grow. Safety is a must and it love how it is designed to support their backs and head which is brilliant as a parent. I wish we had this product to be honest

  17. The Joie car seat looks so comfy and it’s great it has so many features. I love that you can get one car seat for every stage, I had to get separate seats too for my daughter.

  18. That looks like a nice and robust car seat – it does frustrate me that its so wide though as I need to try and squeeze three in the back together

  19. It’s so important to keep the kiddos safe in the car. And this looks like a great way to do so! 🙂

  20. This is a great post! I’ve got a second baby on the way and I’ve been researching car seats. Thanks for this. x

  21. Looks great! I’m the same, constantly lose instructions so fab that they’re on the actual seat
