Father’s Day Gift Guide 2021 ** WIN **

How is it June already?? I’m sure we were just here wracking our brains for Christmas gift ideas, and yet here we are with Father’s Day just around the corner and having that age old panic of what to buy the man who has everything. Not only is my Dad very difficult to buy for (he hates to think of me “wasting my money” on him which is actually really sweet), but Gaz is so hard to buy for as he never really asks for anything at all. If like me you find yourself desperately looking or inspiration, I’m hoping the following gift ideas will help you out!

For the Dad who likes a drink

Now I’m not saying that Gaz likes a good drink, but this year more than any other he’s definitely been hitting the bottle more often than he did in a bid to get through lockdown and deal with the pressures of home school. Although it’s (hopefully) becoming a distant memory, it has left him with a taste for trying new drinks and the Oxford Rye Organic Vodka would be a big hit I’m sure. Double gold medal winning, Oxford Rye Organic vodka is exceptionally smooth and creamy and, unusually, filtered through coconut shell charcoal to give subtle hints of spice and warm caramel.

Retailing at £34.99 for 70cl and you can find out more here.

For the Dad who likes the great outdoors

For Dads who love the great outdoors you can’t go wrong with Tog24. They have a great selection of Craven pack-away rain jackets like this one in coal grey. With waterproof fabric, fully taped seams and a water-repellent coating, they are great for keeping dry whilst still staying stylish! Lined with a soft mesh for a breathable fit, they keep the wind out too which is very needed in this country! The Craven pack-away jackets retail at £75 but this one is currently reduced to £22 so hurry up and grab yourself a bargain!

For the thrill seeking Dads

For thrill seeking Dads buyagift.co.uk have the most amazing gift ideas and the Land Away Double Flying lesson is an amazing opportunity to spend 60 minutes enjoying a thrilling flying experience. After a full briefing at your chosen airfield, you will be taken up on your first of two 30 minute flights as an observer as your instructor talks you through the basics. Back on solid group it’s time to put your skills into practice and the next 30 minutes will be spent flying your very own plane at 2000 feet!! On landing you receive a signed certificate that can actually be used towards a full pilot license which is amazing! Priced at just £149 this is an amazing gift and an experience to really remember!

For Dads who enjoy a night in

For Dads who prefer a night in then Your Big Night In have got just what you need! You can choose from The Ultimate Night In, Puzzle Night In and Karaoke Night In which is perfect for us as we all love a bit of karaoke! For £50 you literally get everything you need for a fun night in including Karaoke courtesy of Singa, a sharer box of popcorn, Rebel Bubbles champagne, 1kg of Sweetie Pie Pick n Mix sweets, Pretzel things, Well & Truly Snacks, Mama Loretti’s puffed cream filled rolls and a tote bag made of 100% recycled cotton with 5% of every bag going to Plastic Oceans. I love the idea of creating a big night in which the whole family can enjoy and I think we’ll have a great time celebrating Father’s day with the kids blasting out a few power ballads this Father’s Day!

For the Dads who likes the little luxuries in life

When it comes to Father’s Day you can’t go wrong with a pair of slippers, in fact I’m pretty sure I bought my Dad new slippers every Father’s Day for every year of my childhood. These days I think we all like the finer things in life and gone are the cheap slippers which barely even lasted twelve months until the next pair making way for traditional Grecian slippers from Glencroft. Both comfortable and stylish, the slippers are made in a gorgeous soft suede with a 100% lambswool lining and finished with contrasting dark brown piping. The slippers even have a padded heel to give your foot that extra bit of comfort and support and, with the owner of Glencroft still wearing a pair made in 1996, you can be sure that they’ll last the duration! Priced at £39.95 they’re a gorgeous gift for the man in your life!

For the Dads who like to DIY

I’ll be honest, Gaz isn’t the best at DIY but what better time than Father’s Day to give him a little nudge in the right direction? This quirky Kikkerland Oil Jug Tool Kit has everything you need for basic DIY around the home all encased in a fun “Oil jug” for handy storage. The kit includes 1 voltage tester, pliers, hex key, handle, 2 precision screwdrivers, 1 phillips head, 1 flathead and 10 screwdriver bits. Priced at £17.11 it’s an affordable and practical gift!

For Dads who are always losing their glasses

My Dad literally loses his glasses ten times a day and so this Personalised Wooden Nose-Shaped Glasses Holder gift is a fun and practical way to keep them safe! Each wooden glasses holder can be personalised with a name up to 12 characters long so you can create something lovely and unique. Made from Acacia wood it fits with any decor and with next day delivery available it’s perfect for those who have left their gifts until the very last minute! RRP £18.99.

For Dads who like to work out

Gaz is forever moaning about his lack of earbuds when it comes to running or the gym, finding that regular earbuds just don’t cut it when it comes to all that working out. The JAM TWS Athlete True Wireless Earbuds offer an ultra-flexible ergonomic ear hook design so they move with you and not off you, even with an intense workout. They offer up to 6 hours of playtime (or 30+ hours if you use the rechargeable case) and at £49.99 are a great gift to say thank you and treat someone this Father’s Day.

For Dads at a distance

I know not everyone is lucky enough to have their parents living on their doorstep like we are and, for the Dads who we don’t get to see as often as we may like, the Aura digital photo frame is a great way to stay connected and share your latest photos. In a stylish and minimalist design, the Aura frame comes with an impressive 10.1 inch display. You can link the frame to your phone, wherever you are in the world, to stream your images for others to enjoy, all whilst controlled using a discreet touch bar at the top of the frame. The frame retails for £149 and is available in a choice of charcoal, chalk white and black-white marble. You can find out more at auraframes.co.uk.
