Introducing the Disney Stores Frozen 2 range!

Anyone who knows my girls will tell you that from the very first time they watched Frozen, all of those years ago, they have been obsessed. I have lost count of the number of times we watched the original movie, listened to the soundtrack, read the book, wore the costumes or played with the toys, and when we heard Frozen 2 had been released I swear the girls almost burst with excitement. This Christmas the countdown was finally over and as we watched the movie together at the cinema they were completely mesmerised, as was I.

So when the Disney Store sent them a range of goodies from their Frozen 2 range you can just imagine how happy they were. Previously when the girls have played, Eva has always been Elsa and Megan has always been Anna, despite Megan’s pleas to have a turn at being Elsa. When the girls opened up the Anna and Elsa costumes and Eva’s eyes grew wide at Queen Anna’s emerald green robe with detachable cape, she instantly said “Megan, it’s your turn to be Elsa now!” and Megan was more than willing to oblige!!

Available in age 3-10 years the dress is made from a gorgeous satin with a velvet overlay on the bodice. Eva loved that there was glittery artwork on the sleeves and to the front and back, with a chiffon underlay to the skirt. Priced at £33 it feels like such gorgeous quality and with Eva wearing aged 7-8 there is plenty of room for her to enjoy it for a long time yet.

The detachable cape Velcro’s to the shoulders of the dress and has a luxurious purple lining which really completes the look. Eva rushed straight to the mirror to admire herself and couldn’t stop swishing the skirt and bursting into her favourite songs from the movie.

The new Snow Queen Elsa costume is absolutely gorgeous and from the second Megan put it on she couldn’t stop smiling. The set comes with both a dress and trousers with a gorgeous organza cape with self-adhesive tape fastenings.

Made from a glossy satin with sheer sleeves and glittery artwork to the bodice, it is just like Elsa wears in Frozen 2 and Megan instantly asked for me to plait her hair just like Elsa’s and told me, “I look just like Elsa because my hair is turning white!”. Just like the Anna dress the Elsa costume comes in sizes 3-10 years and is priced at £33.

The girls were also sent the Anna and Elsa Snow Queen dolls which come as a set and retail at £30. Both dolls are 30cm tall and the perfect size for imaginary play and re-enacting all of their favourite scenes from the movie.

Megan adores her dolls and couldn’t wait to play with them, “She looks just like me!” she told me as she admired her beautiful dress just like the one she was wearing. She was also delighted to discover that both Elsa and Anna had removable shoes.

I will never tire of seeing the girls play together and love that at six and seven they are still very much little girls who love their dolls. Just like Anna and Elsa the bond they share completely amazes me and I will never stop pinching myself how lucky I am that they are not only sisters but best friends too.

The Anna doll is equally beautiful with a full costume, including cape and shoes, and a removable crown. Eva wasted no time in reminding Megan that Anna is now the Queen of Arundale and suddenly her choice of costumes made total sense!

The girls also each received an Anna and Elsa soft toy doll (sold separately at £16 each) which are gorgeous snuggable dolls to love. At 46cm tall they are a great size and can be hand washed which is always a bonus for soft toys.

Suitable from birth, the soft toys are lovely for any Frozen fans but a great toy for little ones too. Megan has taken her Elsa doll to bed every night since and when I have checked on her for bed she has still been clutching onto Elsa’s soft hair and stroking it against her face as a comforter.
