A bad day!!

Today has been a bad day, a bad day in a long line of bad days. For twelve days I have lay in bed or on the couch, suffering with an ear, throat and chest infection. I have had two courses of antibiotics, a horrific reaction to one of them (apparently so rare that my own doctor even told me, “This could only ever happen to you!!”) and then developed pleurisy on top!!

And today, just when I thought that I was starting to feel a tiny bit better and that maybe it was safe to leave the house, I somehow crashed my car into my own front wall….and not for the first time!!

Meggy was so lovely, she rubbed my back whilst I had a good cry over the damage, told me, “It’s alright Mummy, it’s just a car!!” as she kissed away my tears and whispered, “Me loves you!!”. And afterwards, when I lay on the couch snivelling, I consoled myself with the fact that it would soon be bedtime and I could snuggle up and watch Season 3 of ‘Orange is the new black’ on the iPad (I am literally obsessed!!)……..only to discover that my clumsy little Meggy has well and truly smashed the iPad to bits!!!!

It’s a good job she’s so beautiful, even with her chocolate ice cream splattered t-shirt and a dirty face, this girl makes me smile…..even on a bad day!!!
