*** WIN *** Mary Poppins Doll
One of our favourite moments this Christmas was going to watch Mary Poppins Returns, a film we had eagerly anticipated for months! As a child Mary Poppins was one of my all time favourite films, something I have shared with the children over the years, and I was interested to see how Mary Poppins Returns would live up to such an iconic film.
It turns out that Mary Poppins Returns was, quite simply, AMAZING! Emily Blunt made the most wonderful Mary Poppins, whilst staying true to the original we have come to know and love, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, an actor I am unfamiliar with, was the perfect male lead in his lovable and highly entertaining character of Jack.
We enjoyed every moment of the music and dance and particularly loved spotting our favourite characters from the original film popping up in the sequel. There’s no denying that Dick Van Dyke still has the moves all these years later!
We laughed, I cried, and we came away feeling all warm and fuzzy inside which, let’s face it, is exactly what you want from a Disney movie!

I really loved it! I like Emily Blunt and she was great in this. I also appreciated seeing Karen Dotrice playing “elegant woman”. The songs weren’t as strong as the first film but it was still hugely enjoyable.

I can’t wait to take my daughter to see this in the next two weeks. I loved the original Mary Poppins and love watching it with my daughter and singing the songs. Sge is so excited after watching the trailers to watch this new version.
Me and my girls love Mary Poppins. Loved the fact it carried on from the original and had dick van dyke still in it. It was magical as ever and my girls love both films x

We saw it a few days ago & loved it! Emily Blunt was perfect in the role & the special effects were great!
I really enjoyed it. However, both myself and my mother in law thought that even though the acting was amazing. We forgot the songs. Even though they were good, they were not as memorable as the original songs. Hoping this will change over time.

I loved it! I liked how they carried the story on from the original where the parent was the little boy. It was just as magical not sure if I loved it more than the kids!

I loved the film. All the kids are adorable. I was a bit distracted though as my son (7) did not enjoy the film as much as me and kept standing up and waving his arms in the air 😂😂

I thought it was wonderful, I loved the fact that it looked like the original film and all the wonderful tributes to the original especially when Dick Van Dyke made an appearance!

I remember watching the original when I was a child so I was eager to take my granddaughter in the hope the film was as magical for her, as it was for me.
Unfortunately, for me, it wasn’t. The magic wasn’t there, however my granddaughter (she’s 11) loved the film. So a 50/50 score for us.
