** WIN ** Grimm’s Large Romanesque Building Set £199

Of all the toys my children had as little ones, their build blocks were probably the most used then, and even now as they grow. With Lewis I had simply bought some cheaper plastic blocks, assuming he would grow out of them in no time, and yet they broke way before he had finished with them, much to his disappointment! With the youngest three I decided to invest in some good quality wooden blocks, purchasing them from the Grimm’s range, and even now at five, six and seven, they spend hours playing with them in a whole host of ways.

For those who haven’t heard of Grimm’s, they are a family owned and sustainably managed manufacturer producing natural, high quality and safe wooden toys for both play and educational purposes. In beautiful rainbow colours, they are appealing to children whilst encouraging their imagination and honestly, I can’t recommend them enough.

One of our favourite sets has been the Grimm’s Large Romanesque Building set (RRP £199) which comes with 62 building blocks in a wooden frame for storage. Using the blocks children can create Romanesque style architecture found in castles and city walls, explore the Middle Ages of knights and dragons, and create Gothic buildings galore. Or, if your children are anything like mine, they can create something completely different (unrecognisable in fact!) and enjoy hours of fun in the process!

I love that the bricks are chunky enough for little hands whilst still being small enough to create more detailed designs, and with all the colours of the rainbow they are just such a fun and happy toy. I’m a big advocate in old fashioned toys, especially toys such as this which have really stood the test of time, and love seeing my children playing with them together as they grow.

With Christmas just under 3 months away I am (somewhat reluctantly) starting to think about gift ideas and I will definitely be buying Grimm’s wooden toys for younger family members this year!

We are offering one lucky winner the chance to win the Grimm’s Large Romanesque Building Set worth £199 simply by entering via the link below. One winner will be chosen at random and notified via email at close of giveaway on 27th October. Good luck!
