Bubblebum – portable car booster seat for on the go! *WIN*

With four children, three of whom are still only small, travelling is always a real concern for me. Although I am fortunate that our car fits three car seats side by side, Gaz’s car does not, and nor can we take those car seats on aeroplanes or public transport. On those occasions I always panic about a lack of booster seats, and then I was recently introduced to Bubblebum!

Bubblebum is, quite simply, genius!! Bubblebum is the worlds first lightweight, portable, inflatable car booster seat aimed at children between the ages of 4-11. Weighing just 500g (the equivalent of 3 bananas!!) it is designed to come with you on your travels, easily slotting into a rucksack, school book bag or even the glove compartment. And most importantly, it has been approved under the United Nations ECE Regulation R44/04 for safety for both Groups 2 and 3. In short, it’s completely safe and having personally tried it, keeps your children completely secure.

The Bubblebum has so many more unique selling points, all of which are so relevant to us as busy parents! It’s perfect for rental cars, for grandparents to use or when your children have friends over. It also allows you to fit 3 children side by side in smaller cars, which has been a real godsend to us when my car was recently out of action!

The Bubblebum is made from a durable material, similar to that of life vests. The structure of the seat consists of memory foam and a strong webbing harness with side positioning clips to support the seat belt in the optimum position for safety. And here’s the most amazing part – it works by simply inflating it for use meaning that every child can have a booster seat for every journey.

I’ll be honest with you, at first I was sceptical. I thought how can a car seat inflate? Wouldn’t it require some kind of heavy duty pump? A fiddly attachment? A method that would leave me light headed and gasping for breath? But the truth is, in just three short blows, with an easy screw valve, the seat was fully inflated and ready for use. And I genuinely could not be any more impressed with this idea if I tried!

And whilst the Bubblebum makes us parents happy for meeting all the safety requirements, the assortment of colours and patterns makes the kids happy as they get to choose a seat which is bright and funky, and completely comfortable! Available in black, pink, Irish Shamrocks, Union Jack and Stars and Stripes, they are all equally fun and appealing to kids.

With a RRP of £29.99 I consider this a small price to pay to ensure that your child is never without a booster seat. In that way, I really can’t recommend Bubblebum enough to other parents. For more information please visit www.bubblebum.co.

Bubblebum are offering one lucky reader the chance to win a Bubblebum of their own, simply by entering via the link below! The competition closes on Sunday 29th April. Good luck!
