A Pocketful of Books is a family run subscription service for book boxes, designed to help nurture a love of reading and encourage inquiring minds to develop creative, writing and artistic skills. Their boxes help kids discover literature from different genres and deepen their understanding with a range of fun activities. They can also review each book they read and have it published on the website, encouraging them to share reflect their thoughts on the books they have read.
Choosing your monthly subscription box is easy, you just choose your reader level, your frequency (either monthly or bi-monthly) and then simply wait for them to arrive through the letter box! Each package slots perfectly through the door and contains:

This months subscription box contained The Great Dodo Comeback by Fiona Sandiford, a book Megan is enjoying reading very much! With Dodos having been extinct for 300 years, the story centres around the idea of what would happen if they could be given another chance at life? Leni loves birds, so when two scientists arrive on her island to try to de-extinct the dodo, she jumps at the chance to help. But Benny Schoober, the Sugar King, hates birds and loves growing sugar so he is determined that the dodo will be a no-show!!
In keeping with the story the box includes a fun activity to make your own feathery parrot with everything you need to give it a go! I love the idea of combining books and crafts and really sparking a child’s interest in getting creative!

Almost impossible to answer but I will opt for Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn for its simplicity and optimism rather than for its literary achievement.
Always been The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, simply as a revenge story complete with pirate treasure and a prison break can only be an exciting read!

I always hate this question because there are so many wonderful choices and I don’t feel like I can just pick one, it would be like picking a favourite child! However, I grew up with Harry Potter and to this day they are still my favourite books, especially the first one. It’s a love that I share with my husband and we have passed on to our Goddaugter as well.
