Stopping snoring with Snoreeze

Often when I meet up with friends, or sit at playgroups drinking coffee and eating biscuits, the conversation will always drift to how tired we all are and, inevitably, the subsequent rant about husbands who snore. “I had to sleep in the spare room!” my friend always tells me, stifling a yawn, “I’m sure it’s getting louder!”. And as the other women sit and nod, grumbling their displeasure at the warthog like noises which come from their other half, I sit there in silence, flushing with embarrassment, knowing that in our house. It’s me!!

In my defence there are many contributing factors to my snoring habit, the biggest being a whole host of allergies and sinus issues. Although there are many contributions to snoring – age, weight, alcohol, smoking, medication and pregnancy – for me, nasal congestion is the biggest culprit. When your nasal tissue swells, the airflow through your nose becomes blocked or restricted which may force you to breathe through your mouth. And this is totally the case with me!

I wake each morning with a sore, dry, itchy throat from a night of breathing through my mouth, and my husband wakes up each morning tired and irritated having spent his night listening to me snore! Over the years I have tried various snoring remedies without success, so when we were asked to review a Snoreeze Nasal Spray I was hopeful that this was something that would really help.

Snoreeze Nasal Spray targets snoring caused by a cold, allergies or a blocked nose, which sounded perfect for me! With a unique blend of natural active ingredients, including Lavender and Thyme, Menthyl Lactate and Xanthan Gum, it coats the nasal passages and opens the airways to provide effective snoring relief for up to 8 hours.

To use the nasal spray it tells you to blow your nose to clear the nasal passages, shake the bottle and spray twice in each nostril. And then it’s just a case of falling asleep and hoping for the best!!

The following morning I asked Gaz how my snoring had been that night. Unfortunately he couldn’t remember waking up to see if I was snoring or not, but the fact I hadn’t woke him with my snoring was a great sign! The second morning Gaz told me that he had woke in the night and although I was snoring, it was quieter, more nasal and far less annoying!

After the first week of using the Snoreeze nasal spray I felt I was waking feeling a little more refreshed, without a dry throat, and my nasal passage felt clearer. More importantly, Gaz reported that, although my snoring hadn’t stopped completely, it was no longer waking him in the night, or keeping him awake when he woke, and I think for both of us, that’s a real success!

Priced at £9.99 for up to 25 applications, I think that’s a small price to pay for a better nights sleep. I will certainly be making Snoreeze nasal spray an integral part of my bedtime routine, and recommend it to anyone who snores, or lives with a snorer!!

  1. This sounds like a great product. I love that it is natural ingredients…it just seems better to being spraying thyme and lavender up your nose and not some un-nameable chemical. And, it is very reasonable for nearly a months worth of product.

  2. Awwe this sounds like a great product! I will definitely be telling my fiance about this. And results just after one week seems spectacular, this company really has their products in line.

  4. My husband hates when I snore and I hate it when he wakes me up because I’m doing so! So if all this is is a nasal spray then I’m all for it!

  5. Hubby and I have slept in separate rooms for a year now due to his snoring. Even with fully fitted, moulded ear plugs I can still hear him. He refuses to use Snoreez nasal and throat sprays which do work alongside the nose strips! He has no choice when we’re in hotel rooms. And even then it’s not stopped completely. He’s horrendous.

  6. Wish I saw this before I spent the night with my best friend. She snored all night long and I didn’t sleep a WINK LOL I like how this looks.. it feels like it is comfortable, you know?

  7. Oh my gosh, this is my hubby. Mostly because, like you, he has terrible problems with his sinuses, especially during allergy season. He knows he’s been snoring really loud when he wakes up in the morning, and even the pets have found a different room to sleep in! ps: Even when he sounds like a freight train, still love him and think he’s cute. xx

  8. I am definitely the snorer in our house, and it’s caused by a blocked nose and rhinitis I think. I will give this ago as it might help stop my husband complaining

  9. I really didn’t think I snored, but with technology and video being so accessible my kids and husband recorded me napping one day and sure enough I was snoring.

  10. Snoreeze sounds like the solution to my problems. My partner keeps me up on most nights with her snoring. I keep nudging her to get her to stop. We both end up hardly sleeping comfortably.
I’ll get this for her and test it out.
