Refreshing our lounge with Desenio
This year we’ve been making some major changes to our home from a kitchen renovation to decorating throughout. One thing I really wanted to do was inject a little colour into our home whilst also keeping the colours soft and muted in our back room. We’ve shopped with Desenio for our wall art for as long as I can remember and if you come to our home almost every wall will have their unique prints and frames on display. To compliment our latest colour scheme change we went with a gallery wall which was really easy to create and really finishes off our room perfectly.
Creating a gallery wall with Desenio is so simple, they even have a gallery wall tool so you can choose your lay out, add in your prints and see the finished effect with your frames. I know that for our new gallery wall I really wanted to incorporate gold so choosing these stunning gold frames was a real must. When the prints arrived they are perfectly packaged in tubes with the separate frames well protected ready to slot in your print and hang.
The frames are light-weight using plastic instead of glass which means you can hang them on picture hooks or nails without having to drill into the wall and damage your plaster. I’m always so impressed with the quality and, having shopped with other similar websites previously, think they are far better value for money. For those who prefer a different frame to suit their decor you can choose from black, silver, copper metal frames or a choice of seven different wooden frames.
For our prints we went with a mix of abstract designs, typography and quotes which I think go together perfectly. The Ciao Bella print was a nod to our love of Italy, the palm print to tie in our palm plants within the room, and the quote is a real reminder to ourselves and our children to seize the moment and enjoy every moment of life. I love reading it each morning although the kids pull their faces where it says “kiss slowly”….

You can search via your choice of room, by theme, by colour or by size which makes the whole shopping experience far less stressful and allows you to create exactly what you need to cover any wall space and finish off any room.
I’m really happy with our finished room and love how put together it looks with the colours really complimenting each other and our decor. Now we just need to finish our kitchen, our bedrooms, our bathrooms and our hall way. It’s never ending but hopefully this time next year it will all be compete and before you know it, it will be time to go again!
