Pancake Day with Num Noms

For a long time now the children have been big fans of Num Noms, little scented character which are made to look, and smell, like food! With a whole range of Num Nom products, from regular Nums, lip gloss, nail varnish and motorised Noms, they are the perfect collectible toys for little hands.

When we were sent a collection of Num Noms and everything we needed for our own pancake creations, the children were beyond excitement. “Num Noms and pancakes are our favourite things ever!!” Megan told me.

Before we got down to making our pancakes, the children couldn’t wait to open up their Series 4 Num Noms. We were sent the Tea Party set with a glitter lipgloss, much to their excitement!

The children love that you can play with Num Noms in so many ways. Either stacking them up to create their own inventive recipes, or playing with them individually as little characters.

We were also sent the Num Noms Lights which has a light up Nom you can even wear as a ring!

Once I had prised them away from their Num Noms, we set to work on our pancakes.

I love Pancake Shaker Mix, especially with children. There’s no messing about with eggs and whisking, just a little water, the top firmly screwed, let them shake it for two minutes and then it’s time to get cooking!

The children were a little disappointed as, due to us having an induction hob, we couldn’t use the lovely heart shaped pancake pan we had been sent. Instead we had to make do with regular round ones. “Round ones are boring!” Harry sighed.

The children’s favourite part was the filling and although most of it went into their mouths, they did manage to get a little on the pancakes too!

With an assortment of chocolate spread and sprinkles, Eva couldn’t wait to tuck in. Her verdict? Delicious!!!

Harry, Megan and Eva decided that Eva’s pancakes were by far the tastiest and awarded her a Pancake Champion certificate!

We loved taking part in the Num Noms Pancake Day challenge and once the children are in bed I will definitely be tucking into a few of my own!!
