Getting snap happy with HP Sprocket
Those who follow me on Instagram will know just how much I love to take photos. It’s something I have always done, long before I knew how to work a “proper” camera, and I love looking back on our photos and remembering the moments we shared. That said, ever since the world went digital, my photos are no longer lovingly placed in photo albums and are instead filed away on the computer, Christmas 2010, Devon 2012, Eva’s birthday 2014, and I very rarely find a moment to log on, scroll through, and look back.
For that reason I was so excited to try the HP Sprocket, a zero-ink printer that fits in the palm of your hand and can be taken out and used just about anywhere! It uses thermal printing technology which means that you’ll never run out of ink!

With an internal rechargeable battery which powers the Sprocket, charged via USB, the HP Sprocket prints 3 x 2 inch photos straight from your phone. Compatible with both Apple and Android, you can print standard shots, customised frames, or novelty pictures, and even peel off the back of the photo sheets to create stickers!
We were very excited to receive the white and rose gold gift set which includes the HP Sprocket, a rose gold storage bag and a lovely little photo album to store your photos. The printer is so easy to set up, you literally slide off the back, slot in the photo sheets, download the app and just a few taps later you’re good to go!

With Eva struggling so much with school this year it was lovely for her to choose some of her favourite photos and display then all in the photo album. I love how fast the photos print and the children were so impressed at seeing their photos appear right before their eyes! Eva couldn’t wait to go to school the next day and show off her album!

I have to be honest and say that if you’re looking for high quality images, this may not be the printer for you. The printer adds quite a pink/red tone to the images, not that my children noticed, but for novelty photos and instant snaps, it’s great!
I love that the printer slots into the rose gold storage bag for safe keeping and taking out and about. We will definitely be taking this with us on our next holiday so that the children can send home made postcards to their Grandparents with photos of their adventures!

Currently available on Amazon at £119 I think this is a really fun idea which will come in useful for last minute homework projects and crafting. I know that Eva is looking forward to adding to her album so that whenever she feels a little sad at school she can pop out her photos and see all of her favourite moments right there in one place.

How great does this sound, apart from the red/pink hue, but for novelty snaps as you said I could deal with that happening. Hopefully it’s something they will address down the line, but I really do like this sound of this
