Which drivers are the most annoying?
Every driver will pick up bad driving habits, whether they’ve been on the road for months or years. From taking up two parking spaces, changing lanes in slow-moving traffic and middle lane hogging; there are many things other drivers do that can really grind your gears.
LeaseCar UK have created their latest campaign, #WheelyAnnoying, which looks at the assumptions other drivers make about you based on the car you drive.
No matter how good a driver you are, if you drive one of these cars, people will have a perception about the kind of person you are.
Cars associated with road rage
When it comes to getting heated behind the wheel, LeaseCar UK’s survey found that owners of BMWs are the angriest drivers, with Audi drivers coming in second place.
Road rage can come down to many things, whether the person driving has had a bad day or they’re simply just impatient. There’s no denying that angry drivers honking their horns are really annoying.
The survey also found that people often associate red cars with angry driving, which is no surprise really as red is often associated with anger.
Who are the worst drivers?
If you’ve been driving for quite some time, you will have experienced someone who is a terrible driver, and if you haven’t, then it’s probably because it’s you. But which car is often associated with being the worst type of driver?
Well it turns out that BMW drivers also top this list! 68% of those surveyed had BMW drivers as being bad drivers, with Audi drivers coming in second again with 50%.
Younger drivers aged 17-30 were thought to be the worst age group when it comes to bad driving, and 65% said men are worse than women when driving.
It’s not all bad…
If you own a BMW or Audi and are thinking that people are making really awful assumptions about you, it’s not all bad as the survey respondents ranked BMW drivers as third best looking, with Audi second just narrowly being beaten to top spot by Mercedes drivers.
These figures only reflect what the respondents think about these car owners, but what do you think? Do you agree?
