*Win* Genessence Chromium and Gymnema Capsules

I don’t have many vices these days, I don’t smoke and I rarely drink but, with four children and the constant need for an energy boost, my biggest vice is definitely sugar! I think nothing of grabbing one, two, even three chocolate bars a day, of snacking on sugar sweets and pick me ups, giving me that much needed sugar rush.

But the truth is, our bodies quickly build up a high tolerance for substances like sugar and prolonged overuse of usually tends to have undesirable side effects. In the case of eating too much sugar this often means consequences like rapid weight gain, obesity, and even type 2 diabetes. More importantly, recent findings suggest that eating too much sugar, may actually trigger drowsiness.

And this is particularly interesting to me as in 2015 I was told that I was borderline type 2 diabetic, something which came as a huge shock to me. So much so that for a long time I was careful about my diet and I cut back on sugar completely. Slowly but surely I have allowed the sugar to creep back in and now, with so much Christmas chocolate tempting me each day, I have reverted back to bad habits and my hba1c is slowly creeping back up.

So when I was asked to try Genessence’s Chromium & Gymnema supplements which are known to aid the metabolism of sugar and fat and improve the body ability to regulate glucose, I thought it was worth a shot!

Many modern diets are low in Chromium, and also Gymnema which has been shown to reduce hyperglycaemia. Together with the Caralluma ingredient, they help maintain normal blood sugar levels and can also suppress appetite and cravings. And at £24.99 for 90 capsules, I think should they help that’s quite reasonable for a three months supply.

Obviously for me this was very much about staving off the sugar pangs, I absolutely don’t want to suppress my appetite as I love food far too much. I simply hoped that they would help me to choose healthier snacks without reaching for the chocolate each day. And the results? After the first week I noticed that I was craving sugar little less, and by the second week, although I was still indulging a little, I was eating far less chocolate and noticing that I wasn’t having the same 3pm energy slump.

If you would like to try these for yourself we have three 90 capsule jars to give away. Simply enter via the link below and the winner will be notified at close of competition on 18th February. Good Luck!

  1. I cut down sugar a couple of years ago but i do still raid the biscuit tin. I love dunking them in a cup of tea!

  2. Crisps, one bag is never enough, I’ve stopped buying multi packs for the family because i just can’t resist!

  3. Smoking! I don’t drink much, but if I have an alcoholic drink I always want to smoke. Therefore usually when I go out I stick to juice.
