Finding ways to entertain the kids during lockdown is tough, especially if yours are anything like mine and want to be doing something every second of every day! For that reason we’ve been playing lots with Aquabeads, the worlds first ever stick with water toy! The children love getting creative, I love that there is no mess, and when their creations are made they. can use their imaginations to play which keeps them quiet and makes me happy!

To be honest we have just been having fun since well a week before the schools closed as I decided to keep them both off , we have been doing sand play, paint, play dough, watching movies, reading books, doctors kit, dolls duplo, drawing and waterbeads and just spending time together as a family <3 I am really enjoying this special time with my children as I'm normally at work a3<3
    This is such a lovely and thoughtful a gesture @fivelittledoves, we have never had Aqua beads before but I'm sure my children would really love this set and have hours of fun playing.

  2. Apart from school work and learning …Lots of Lego, PE with the body coach, lots of reading, a children’s drawing class and fun! It’s not easy as my daughter is an only child and does get lonely but understands we have to be patient.

  3. Home scooling, baking, crafting, gardening…I am exhausted by the end of the day so thankfully sleeping better!

  4. We are doing as much as possible, we have backed three cakes, made numerous bird feeders, planted sunflowers, made two soups, done as much school work as we can, woodland scavenger hunt and lots of board games…week one and i am exhausted!

  7. We have been working on Brownies and Rainbow badges, they have also listened to the David Walliams audio books and done Joe Wicks in the morninng

  11. We are trying to do some schoolwork and in downtime we are doing crafts and teaching them about gardening, they are a great help with the weeding 🙂

  13. My daughter is doing a mix of home schooling the Grandchildren-Lots of time on the trampole is helping with the autistic child. Chatting about what they have found and researching/drawing insects etc. Crafting and baking……

  14. I’m back home now, last week I was in work at the primary school looking after key workers and vulnerable children. So, I’m finding it very strange to be at home! Me and my dauter have been doing Jo Wicks in the morning, Baking and lots of craft activities.

  16. I don’t have kids to amuse but my brother is struggling with 8 year old twins while his wife works as a midwife, they would love these!

  18. The oldest children are following daily timetables based loosely on their work from school plus one family walk every day, no matter what the weather.

  19. We’ve been playing in the garden as much as possible while the weather’s good. There’s been classic hide and seek, Harry Potter pretend games with sticks, monster truck races down the slide and teddy bear picnics so far.

  28. School have set some great projects for them and a good balance of classwork. We have done plenty of baking, crafting and even tried a bit of sewing. We luckily have woods behind our house so we have been taking our daily exercise walking through there.

  33. Some days are great, some days are horrendous! I’m so grateful to be able to have this time with them but also finding it difficult to keep them entertained/do work/do their school work/keep on top of housework

  34. When school was setting work we were trying to juggle school with me working from home, which was difficult. This week we are just relaxing doing some spring cleaning and today my little girl has made a fort.

  35. Ive been working but my wife has done a theme each week – The body, Dinosaurs, Easter and this week is chocolate!! – for our 4 year old Finley and our 11 year old Ellie and 14 year old Nate join in from time to time

  37. We have 8, so it probably still feels like theyre at school in a classroom full of children half the time! They do their schoolwork, lots of crafting, games, reading and were hoping to get into the garden and get some planting and growing done too!

  38. Plenty of school work ,but I’m incentivising it way more than school do, so he gets a lot more prizes and playing time! I don’t think he’s ever going to want to go back to school. Apparently I’m the best teacher ever!

  47. If I am totally honest, with great difficulty as I am sure others are too. There are seven years between my children and it’s hard to find something that they can both do plus doing their schoolwork but I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself and as long as they are safe and happy, that’s all that matters really

  48. I am away from my great-niece who I usually spend loads of time with so it is difficult. However, we keep chatting on Facetime and I send her lots of things to do. This would be lovely for her.

  49. We’re so lucky to have a garden, so my brother and I have been playing with his cricket bouncer in the garden. Trying to help him let off some steam and create some peace and quiet in the house, whilst dad is working from home!

    my 5 year old has been helping my 3 year old who starts school in September learn some phonics sounds. She definitely deserves a treat and would love this. ❤️

  54. We’re keeping the kids busy with lots of garden time! We’ve Also been doing lots of baking! Which is bad for my waistline no matter how much I love it.

  55. My daughter is single-handedly working from home as a project manager, while home-schooling my granddaughter. I’ve tried to help by sending her various teaching aids, colouring sheets, writing practice sheets and so on.
