Spring out of bed – giveaway

When it comes to sleep, I doubt that there is a parent on the planet who doesn’t wish for more of it. With four children, three of whom don’t understand the meaning of the word “lie-in” I can’t remember the last time that I sprang out of bed in the morning!

The campaign

I was asked to take part in the Spring out of bed campaign from Bed Guru, an online bed retailer who are also leading sleep specialists. They understand that no two people share the same sleeping requirements and see it not just as a belief but an obligation to ensure that everybody gets a great night’s sleep. With that in mind I asked my fellow parent bloggers for their top tips on how to wake up happy each morning, and spring out of bed. Let’s face it, with my brood, I need all the help I can get!

Top tips for springing out of bed

Well I woke up that’s a positive, I always think we never know what is going to happen to ourselves and it could be something really nice, so always be happy and positive. ~ DIY Daddy

By going to bed earlier the night before! ~ Dillydrops

Invest in a good quality pocket sprung mattress. Sleeping on the right mattress is key to getting a great nights sleep!

De-cluttering the bedroom. The more cosy a room is, the more inviting it is to get a good night’s sleep! ~ Sticky mud and belly laughs

When I wake up I always try and think of something I am looking forward to that day even if it is something really small! Helps me get out of bed in a better mood! ~ Sophie’s nursery

I have a teas maid in my office which is across the hall from my bedroom! I set the alarm and have to get out of bed to switch it off. I figure as I’m upright and there’s a pot of tea brewed I may as well enjoy five minutes peace before the chaos of three children on the school run. ~ Monkey-feet

Prep for the morning the night before. Lay out your clothes, have the children’s uniforms ready and packed lunches made, and it’s much easier to spring out of bed knowing that some of the stress has been lifted!

I put my ipod on whilst getting ready – I can’t believe what a difference it makes to my attitude! ~ Mama Wilkos

My husband brings me a cup of tea in bed every morning without fail, I’m lucky I know! I sit and drink it as I come round!  ~ This Is Me Now

With all of these tips I am hoping that come Monday morning I spring out of bed a little faster!
