Ted Wears Organic – fun, funky and practical!
As a parent I am always on the look out for new clothing brands for the children, in particular something extra special that you can’t just pick up in the supermarket. Recently I have heard a lot about one particular brand, Ted Wears Organic, and having been asked to review their dresses for the girls, I was keen to find out why this brand was so popular with parents.
Created by Vicky who, as a parent herself, wanted to produce a range of clothing that can withstand the rough and tumble of child’s play, whilst still being stylish, funky and totally unique.
Using high quality organic cotton, every outfit can be made to measure in a whole range of fabrics and designs, and customised to your liking. Vicky has created a Pick ‘n’ Mix Wardrobe principle where you can choose co-ordinating items on Vicky’s recommendation to ensure that your child’s outfit options are endless!
The range starts from just £6 and includes t- shirts, leggings, harem pants, dresses, shorts, skirts and hats, in sizes 3-6 months to 5-6 years. My personal favourites are the Organic Jumper Dresses, and we were lucky enough to be sent two, for each of the girls, in the funkiest of lion fabrics!
When the dresses arrived I was instantly struck by how lovely and soft they are. As beautiful as some of the girls dresses are, they often complain that they are too “scratchy”, something which could never be said about Ted Wears Organic!
I love how versatile these dresses are and how they can be worn with bare legs, tights, leggings or over jeans. And the girls couldn’t wait to get them on!
Wearing sizes aged 5-6 years, the dresses were true to size and had the added bonus of cuffs around the sleeves and bottom, meaning even with a little room to grow, the dresses would still fit perfectly.
The biggest test for me was not to have the girls stand and pose for photos, but to jump on the trampoline, race around the garden and ride up and down on their bikes without their dresses restricting them.
Due to the natural stretch in the cotton, these dresses are perfect for playing as well as looking absolutely adorable on my girls! I would recommend Ted Wears Organic to all parents whose children love to run, jump, crawl and climb, plus they wash like a dream which is always a bonus!!
