Our Top 4 gift ideas from Snapfish this Mothers Day

I don’t know about you but when Mothers Day comes around, for myself and my own Mum, there is nothing I want more than a personalised gift from my children. I’m not one for big fancy gestures or expensive presents but a photograph of a memory we have shared, or a personalised item to keep in our home, is always at the top of my list. And this year Snapfish have something for just about everyone!

Snapfish is a website I have used for as far back as I can remember, buying countless items for our home, and gifts for others, over the years. They offer a variety of prints, frames, canvases, home decor items, calendars, cards and more, all easily designed, uniquely customised, ordered, and delivered right to your door. I’ve been reviewing our top picks for Mothers Day and wanted to share our favourites with you.

Framed Prints

I’m sure we all have a favourite photo and with Snapfish you can order framed prints starting at just £9.99. This is great for someone like me whose favourite photo changes from one week to the next or for those who want to build up a photo wall with multiple prints. From 6 x 4 to 10 x 8, your photo is printed on matt paper and can be hung on the wall or places on a desk, complete with stand.

Even better, particularly for those who have little ones, the toughened safety class is virtually unbreakable, something we discovered to be very much the case when Harry asked to hold the frame and instantly dropped it to the floor. I suppose it’s always good to find out that it really does “do what it says on the tin”.

Photo Cushions

I always think it’s nice to have something a little bit different on Mothers Day and these photo cushions are really lovely! The cushions have a variety of templates you can choose from, as well as colours to suit your decor, and so we decided to go with nine of our favourite images direct from Instagram.

That’s one of the things I love the most about Snapfish, that you can just import photos direct from Facebook, Instagram and Google photos, making it even easier to create a personal gift. Also for square designs, Instagram images are just perfect so it made it even easier not to have to crop images to get the perfect fit.

All of the cushions are printed and stitched in the UK and I was so impressed with it when it arrived. The front side had all of our lovely memories from the year surrounded by our chosen grey frame, and on the reverse is a soft faux suede in a fawn colour, perfect for slotting in with every colour scheme. With cushions starting at £24.99 I think they are such a lovely gift with the only down side being that my girls have already claimed ours!

Photograph Mugs

What Mum doesn’t love a photograph mug? I know I’ve bought my Mum lots over the years although none quite as fab as this lovely red mug with our favourite photograph on the front. Again you can choose a collage of images or just one photograph and even add in text if there’s a special message you want to include. I love that Snapfish offer all of these alternatives on each of their products so you can really create a unique gift that’s perfect for the recipient.

Available in blue, red, yellow, black, pink and white, the same colour appears on the inside and handle of the mug. Even better, the mugs are dishwasher safe (bonus!) and microwave safe – so necessary when you’re a parent needing to warm up your brew for the tenth time that day! And at just £8.99 for the mugs I think this is such a great price and means you don’t have to spend a fortune to create a special gift this Mothers Day.

Photo Books

Lastly, and my own personal favourite, are the Snapfish photograph books. For me, as someone who takes a lot of photos, there is nothing better than having all of those precious moments and memories stored in one place to look back on and enjoy.

My biggest worry about buying photo books is that they are going to be way too time consuming to make and I’ll admit that in the past, when using other photo gift websites, I’ve given up half way through. Thankfully Snapfish has a really easy builder tool, with talk through options, so that compiling all of your favourite moments couldn’t be easier!

Once you’ve imported your images you can either use autofill and trust Snapfish to design your lay-out, or you can manually insert each photograph to build the most beautiful book. Available in a choice of sizes, we chose the hard cover A3 book which has gorgeous glossy pages and a real quality feel – our photographs have never looked better!

One of my favourite things about the photo book builder is the embellishment tool where you can choose from an array of texts and images, all listed under easy to find themes, to insert into your pages to add a personal feel. I’ve never seen this before in any of the photo books we have made previously and I loved the little pops of colour or sweet little sayings to really emphasise what our photo book was all about.

I think it’s safe to say we are really impressed with the products we chose for Mothers Day this year and not only would I be happy to get any of them from the children, but my Mum will be too. Although each gift is super easy to make, there is still a great deal of thought goes into it and that really reflects in the finished product. I know that these photo gifts will be featuring in our home for years to come, and I am so going to enjoy looking through our photo book with the children as they grow and remember all of the lovely moments we shared together.

For anyone wanting to purchase from Snapfish this Mothers Day you can get a whopping 40% discount with the code HEARTMUM40. The code expires on 30.04.19 so don’t hang about!

** We are working with Snapfish on their Mothers Day campaign. We were gifted these items and compensated for our time. All words and opinions are my own. **
