Ever since my girls have been tiny, they have been obsessed with horses. One of their first words was infact “dorse” and the older they’ve got, the more that obsession has grown. And whilst they have been very fortunate to enjoy horse riding on occasions, and they have a whole host of toy related toys and DVD’s to watch, there was just one thing they’ve been missing – a pet horse.
So when Petplan got in touch and asked us if we would like to design our own dream horse, however weird or wonderful that may be, you can just imagine the girl’s excitement! So, bursting with ideas, the girls set to work and it soon became apparent that their dream horse was unlike any horse I have seen before! With the drawing complete we simply sent it off and waited patiently for our horse to be made and, in no time at all, the postman delivered the girls new dream horse…….which, forgive me if I’m wrong, looks strangely like a unicorn to me!!
With a yellow horn to give it magic powers and eye lashes to die for, I had to agree with Eva that it is indeed the sweetest horse I have ever seen. I couldn’t get over the likeness to her drawing and nor could she!
Just like me, the girls love rainbow colours and had chosen a whole host of them to design their pet horse. “Brown horses are boring!” said Megan, as she snuggled up the new Uni-horse and admired her handiwork.
I love how every little bit of it had been designed so carefully, down to the rainbow spots and a little saddle. “That’s so we can ride it!” said Eva and it was so lovely to see their excitement over it.
As far as dream pet horses go, this one is definitely as dreamy as they come. The rainbow mane and tale is lovely and, as the girls told me all about their plans for magical adventures, I was just relieved that they had finally stopped asking for a real one!
We have absolutely loved making our Dream Pet Horse with Petplan Equine Horse Insurance and if they ever wear me down to finally getting a real horse, I will know exactly where to go when we need cover!
