Our Top 10 Advent Calendars for 2022
For our family the 1st December has always been a huge day in the lead up to Christmas, not only is it the first day of the Christmas month but we open the very first door of our advent calendars and the excitement begins. As a child I would love my chocolate advent calendar with it’s simple cardboard doors and those little black and white images but these days advent calendars seem to have just got bigger and better! My children agonise over which calendar to choose each year and actually, with so many incredible choices on the market, I’ve found that grown ups to do! That’s why I’m sharing our top ten picks for ’22!
Sara Miller Frosted Pines Calendar
I think scents play a huge part in Christmas, especially evoking memories going forward, and the Sara Miller Frosted Pines Calendar is a really lovely way to enjoy a variety of Christmassy scents over the festive period. With 25 tealight candles and a decorated glass tealight holder, you’ll discover four exotic fragrances and one festive fragrance – Mistletoe, Pine and Amber. It’s a stunning calendar, finished with a pink satin bow for a real luxury feel, and having had this one in the past I literally cannot wait to open the first door this year and enjoy a moment of calm as my candle burns.
Fortnum’s 3D Paper Advent Calendar
Nobody does Christmas quite like Fortnum & Mason and Fortnum’s 3D Paper Advent Calendar is such a lovely choice for both children and grown ups wanting an extra special traditional calendar. I think often we become so caught up in what’s behind the doors that sometimes it’s nice to just pause and remember the real meaning of Christmas and this is actually a really lovely way to do just that.

Our kids love jam and can’t wait to try a new flavour on toast each morning, it’s a really lovely calendar that the whole family can share!
