Counting down to Christmas with the Portable North Pole

I will never forget the Christmas of 2008, when Lewis was just four, and we discovered the Portable North Pole videos for the very first time. I still remember the look on his face as he watched in amazement, and nine years later watching the youngest three do the same, those moments are just as magical.

For those who aren’t aware, the Portable North Pole (PNP) is an online platform used by Santa and his elves to send personalized video messages and calls to the people you care about most anywhere around the world.

There’s a huge selection of calls and videos to choose from, all of which you can personalise to include your child’s name, age, friends and family, even photographs of them, their home and a special gift they have asked for each year.

My favourite part is where you can choose from a list of things which Santa reminds them of in order to get their Christmas gifts, be that eating their vegetables, trying hard in school or keeping their bedroom tidy. It’s amazing what the power of Santa can do!!

All videos can be saved, downloaded and shared via social media or email. By downloading the PNP app you can even film your child watching their video on a reaction cam to look back on in years to come. It really is the most magical way of building the excitement of Christmas with your children and Eva, Megan and Harry are amazed by it, year after year.

This year we were treated to one of the many toys available on the PNP website, ranging from soft toys, story books, stockings, puzzles and Do-Good Elves.

Where as most of us will be familiar with the naughty elves available, the Do-Good elves are the best idea yet. The idea is that Santa has chosen our children to teach the baby Do-Good Elf the difference between naughty and nice during the countdown to Christmas. When this little elf grows up, he or she will be a valuable member of Santa’s team and it’s down to our children to lead by example!

The Do-Good elves come with four personalised videos from Santa, a passport from Santas village and Christmas stickers. It was so lovely to see the girls taking the elf, who they promptly named Dingle, under their wing and teaching him to be kind, to go to bed on time and how to share. If only we had got one sooner!

.I love that the PNP comes as a real package, with videos, calls and merchandise, and you can buy into it as much or as little as you like. We have the pass which means we can make as many premium videos as we like for the children, which is great if like me you have a small tribe!

We honestly can’t recommend PNP enough, it’s one of my absolute favourite Christmas traditions, and one that I’m sure we will share for years to come.

  26. PNP has grown so much since they have started. I remember when everything was free and you just had to put in the child’s name and information and then it would come up with something for Christmas. But last year they were super complex with everything they had for kids and Santa sending out special emails and birthday notices and the like. I didn’t see them selling items on their site yet, but this is so cool.

    1. Yes I agree! When we first started doing it with Lewis it was quite basic, although wonderful too. I love that they are building on that! xx
