* WIN * My First Calendar and Luxury Chess Set from Jaques of London

With Christmas creeping up on us it’s time to start thinking about the perfect gift for children. I find buying for my own children far easier given their extensive and long thought out lists, but buying for other family members of our friends children can be difficult which is why I always look for inspiration elsewhere! When it comes to expertise on toys and games, Jaques of London is the oldest games company and sports manufacturer in the world so it feels like the perfect place to go to for our Christmas shopping!

There are so many great games on the Jaques website, from Ping Pong to Snakes and Ladders, Tiddley Winks to Happy Families, but if there’s one game I think every growing child should learn, it’s chess! This luxury chess set from Jaques comes in a beautiful 15 inch folding travel case with hand carved wooden Staunton chessman so it’s ideal for playing on the move.

The thing with Jaques is that they always offer the finest quality that money can buy and when you see the walnut and sycamore chess board with baize-based chess pieces, you can see that it just oozes quality and is a gift that will last a lifetime.

For those looking for a gift for younger children Jaques have some lovely fun gifts, but also some really great gifts which help educationally too. The magnetic My First Calendar is a fun way to engage and captivate a child’s attention and make learning key skills more fun. It educates children on things such as days of the week, months, seasons and weather as well as promoting independence and an understanding of the world around them.

The great thing is that with it being magnetic, the calendar can be re-used over and over and because the pieces are magnetic there’s far less chance of the small pieces being lost! With the classic Jaques quality, it’s a gift that will really last!

We are excited to offer a Luxury Chess Set and a Magnetic My First Calendar to two lucky winners. Simply enter via the link below and comment which prize you would like to win!
