The Kids Toy Generator: taking the stress out of present buying ** WIN **
I’m sure we can all relate to the struggle of finding the perfect gift for a child’s birthday, or a special occasion, when you have zero clue what children that age are into. I know for me, when an invitation comes through for one of the children I am left wandering the shops trying to find something they would like, knowing very little about their interests or even what type of toy is relevant for a child of the opposite sex to my children. Even harder is finding toys which are affordable as, if your children are anything like mine, there are parties pretty much every weekend and with four of them, it adds up!
So when we were asked to review the Toy Generator Tool from Toys for a Pound it felt like the perfect way to take the stress out of present buying. The tool is simple, you just choose what it is you’re looking for, be that a gift, party bag items, something to educate or a gift for a seasonal celebration, and follow seven easy steps to generate relevant gift ideas!
The great thing is you can then choose the age range of your intended gift, which is perfect when you aren’t quite sure what children are into of a certain age. I know our friends without children, or the older generation who have lost touch with children’s toys, can particularly struggle with this so it’s a really useful tool!
One of my favourite things about the toy generator is that you can choose a gift based on a child’s personality! So even if you aren’t sure about what a child’s interests are, you can get a rough idea of their personality and choose something which will match!
The generator then provides you with a list of toys, starting from just £1 and if you’re happy with that you can simply add to your basket and check out! If nothing makes your fancy you can narrow it down further by gifts for boys, girls, or choosing something which is gender neutral. It’s so easy!
If you have a budget in mind you can narrow it down even further based on price, with nothing costing more than £5. I think when the children are small and going to so many parties each week, £5 buys a nice gift for a friend without breaking the bank, and Toys for a pound is really good value too so the toys at £5 are really good toys!
I searched for something for a party Megan is going to this week and was really pleased with the toy it suggested. It wasn’t something I would have thought of personally and took all of the stress out of choosing a gift!
