National Stationery Week – giveaway!!
If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that I have a slight obsession with stationery. I literally cannot resist a notebook, regardless of how many others I have on the go, if one catches my eye or I see someone with it, I have to have it!
It doesn’t stop at notebooks either, I am obsessed with little sticky paper notes, highlighter pens, scented felt tips and rainbow coloured crayons. I don’t even need to have a use for them, I just can’t resist placing them in my basket and adding them to my growing collection!
This week is National Stationery Week, and in a year filled with weeks that have little or no relevance to me whatsoever, this is absolutely my kind of week – a week to celebrate what I already knew, that stationery is amazing!! And not just that, because most importantly Stationery Week is about encouraging us all to put aside the laptop, our phones and tablets, and simply put pen to paper.
According to YouGov research commissioned by National Stationery Week, 94% of adults think that writing by hand is important and 97% think it is important for children to be taught to write. Just as encouraging, 91% of children aged between 8 and 15 think it is important to be able to write by hand and 86% of business managers expect candidates for jobs to be able to write by hand, as well as have keyboard skills. In that way, we all realise just how important it is to write, but few of us actually do. Today, on Write a Letter day, I urge you all to pick up a pen and write a letter, even if it’s just a few words to someone you love, a friend or partner, and make their day!!

Awesome ! I love stationary and just entered your giveaway. I have to say that notebook that said ‘list of people I want to punch in the face’ did make me laugh haha! I would most like to receive a letter from my aunty, she is my greatest inspiration and biggest role model and being able to have a letter from her would mean the world. While others see celebrities as their icons my aunty beat cancer, escaped abusive marriages and raised my cousin as a single woman. Above all she is hard working, kind and beautiful x

Oh wow, I wish I had a stationary obsession like you do!! We are saving madly for a total refurb of our home, but I really think that notebooks and sticky pads (in the prettiest colours and patterns!) would actually be helpful in my planning, therefore I should be allowed to spend the pennies on them lol! I am a total stationery geek and addict and cannot resist any pretty stationery, even if I’m not short of it! I have a weakness for journals, notebooks and list books! I absolutely love the More Issues Than Vogue – that is so like my teenage daughter, she would love it! I would most like to receive a letter from my cousin who is backpacking around the world at the moment. We have been best friends since childhood and she is not always able to keep in contact via skype or email as where she travels she doesn’t always have any wifi or internet connection so to receive a letter from her telling me all about her adventures would be wonderful.
