Men’s Christmas Gift Guide *Win*

Every year, despite starting my Christmas shopping early, when it comes to buying for the men in my life I am always on the last minute. And it isn’t for want of trying, I spend hours traipsing round the shops and night after night of scouring the internet, but in terms of gift ideas for men – it’s hard work! This year I have been very lucky to be sent some gorgeous gift items, all of which I shall be stashing away for Gaz and my Dad, and I just know that they are going to love them!

Our first item is this Guthrie & Valentine blue slim fit stretch shirt from Slaters. I don’t think you can go wrong with a shirt when it comes to men and choosing a classic white or pale blue is always a safe bet. Gaz finds that a slim fit shirt looks smarter and fits better with a suit, and at £27 this is a really good quality shirt for a great price.

When it comes to men’s toiletries Harley Street Skin Care has it all. I love that the packaging is both stylish and masculine, and the products do exactly what they are supposed to. It’s a great gift for men who really want to take care of themselves, or for wives who wish their husbands would stop stealing their products! They have some fantastic Black Friday sales on at the moment too!

I hadn’t heard of Dobell until recently and yet this store has the most gorgeous men’s and boys formal wear and accessories. I chose this dark brown tweed jacket which is made from the most high quality wool blend with some really stylish details. Currently on offer at £79.99 this is a wardrobe staple that will last and last.

When it comes to Dad, or perhaps just my Dad, you can’t go wrong with whisky. This Writers Tears Pot Still Blend from 31Dover, presented in a gift box, is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of both single pot still and single malt whiskies. Soft, sweet and honeyed with hints of citrus peel, apple and vanilla, finished with a warming touch of spice, it’s the kind of whisky that my Dad will really enjoy this Christmas. At £34.99 it’s a real treat for someone special.

From Idyll Home I love this personalised multi tool hammer , perfect for DIY fans! This clever and robust gadget might look like one mighty hammer, but it actually conceals seven essential tools, including pliers, knife and screwdriver. Guaranteed to get you out of a tight spot on your adventures, as it says on the box “it hits the nail on the head”.

Presented in a vintage style gift box these tools are a great gift for any handy man or explorer. We had it personalised with “Grandad can fix it!” and it will make the perfect gift for my Dad from the children. RRP £17.95.

If the man in your life is a big kid like mine, this Vooni VR headset with remote control from coolstuff.com makes a great choice of gift! Compatible with your smart phone, you simply place the phone inside the headset, put the headset on our head, and you’re good to go! By turning your head you can see 360 degrees with a field vision of up to 80 degrees. With a bluetooth remote control and rechargeable battery, it’s definitely something that my husband would love to find in his stocking! RRP £24.99.

I love Nivea gift sets as a stocking filler and this one, Nivea Men Sensitive, is just £5. Containing a full sized Sensitive shower gel and Anti-Perspirant it’s great for those with sensitive skin.

If you’re looking for a little luxury, these Emporio Armani navy mule slippers make a great gift. The navy slippers are made from a soft terry towelling fabric with a slim foam cushioned sole. The signature Giorgio Armani Eagle logo is embroidered on each slipper in dark grey.

These slippers come with a navy woven drawstring bag which features the signature Emporio Armani logo patch. RRP £39.00.

This 312GW DashCam from Nextbase is the perfect gift for drivers. The device features inbuilt Wi-Fi allowing you to download footage to a smartphone before sharing it with friends, family, an insurance firm or the police. It includes many features including –

  • 140 degree wide angle view with full 1080p High Definition recording at 30fps

Priced at £99.99 it has been awarded both Which? best buy and Sun Motors best buy.

For coffee lovers we have this 50 aluminium capsule assortment gift box from Belmio which is perfect for those with compatible coffee machines. Delivering the highest quality and most ultimate coffee experiences with each capsule containing 5.5 grams of premium coffee. Aluminium is the only material that interacts with coffee machines in such a way to consistently produce the best tasting and aromatic coffee and having tried these I definitely agree! At £16.50 this is a really affordable gift!

For a while now Gaz has been after an electric barbeque and this one from Hayes Garden World is perfect. I love that, due to it’s size, the OutdoorChef Minichef BBQ can be used on patios, smaller gardens or even on balconies. For those who like camping it would be a great addition to any camping holiday and, with seven levels of heating, will allow you to cook virtually anything. With a 39.5cm cooking grill, 2000 watt power, porcelain enamelled steel kettle and two removable shelves, it’s an all round hit and one I know we will use regularly. Currently reduced to £115.00.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a pair of socks and these from Quiet Rebellion are the height of luxury! At £12 a pair they are more expensive most but designed in London these luxurious socks each have their own history, inspired by characters who do things a little differently. I love how individual each pair is and these are a really fun Christmas themed sock which I’m sure would be well received.

I love this Barbour lambswool scarf and gloves giftset from Mainline Menswear. Presented in a smart and stylish gift box it really is the perfect gift.

The set comprises of a lambs wool scarf with a knitted tartan design in grey, black, red, white and yellow with a fringe design to each end as well as a pair of knitted lambs wool gloves in a grey marl with a ribbed cuff at the wrist. They at both lovely and soft and great quality too. Currently on offer at £37.00.

The Art of Football has the most amazing clothing, prints and gift selection all with a football theme. This AoF embroidered logo sweater is a great gift for those who prefer more subtle logos and, for £22, I couldn’t get over how good the quality was. Available in black and navy I think any man would like to open this on Christmas morning.

Another shirt is this one from Christian Benedict who have a gorgeous selection of smart and stylish shirts to choose from. This sky blue Bengal shirt is made from 100% cotton, is easy to iron and has a soft, breathable finish to it. The shirt has a double button cuff and a subtle-cutaway collar. I love that it is presented in a gift box which is always a bonus when it saves on wrapping! RRP £24.95.

I was so excited by this next gift idea – Eyejuster reading glasses which, quite frankly, are genius. Putting on a pair of Eyejusters restores your eye’s ability to change focus. By simply turning the revolutionary hidden eyeDials™, you can change the strength of the lenses from +0.50 to +4.00 D, or to anything in between!

Eyejusters are the ultimate replacement for reading glasses, although not designed to correct your distant vision, and I just know that my Dad will be over the moon at the fact that he no longer needs to hold his newspaper at arms length. With prices starting at £69 they are a great gift and I can’t recommend them enough!

Lastly we have the Amazon Echo Dot something which just about everyone I know has put on their Christmas list this year! The Echo Dot is a hands-free, voice controlled device that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, set alarms and so much more –

  • Connects to speakers or headphones through Bluetooth or 3.5 mm stereo cable to play music from Amazon Music, Spotify and TuneIn.
  • Call or message anyone hands-free who also has an Echo device or the Alexa App.
  • Controls lights, switches, TVs, thermostats and more with compatible connected devices.
  • Hears you from across the room with 7 microphones.
  • Includes a built-in speaker so it can work on its own as a smart alarm clock in the bedroom, an assistant in the kitchen, or anywhere you might want a voice-controlled device
