Furry Friends Watch Review & Giveaway

If there’s one thing that Eva has been asking for this last year, it’s a watch. She has repeatedly asked me, “When I’m as big as Lewis will I get a watch?”, and I had promised her that if she settled at school and worked really hard, she would be able to have a watch of her own. It’s funny because I can remember Lewis being exactly the same at that age, desperately pleading with me for a watch, and being over the moon when he received his first Power Ranger watch for his fourth birthday, despite the fact that he had no idea how to tell the time.

And so, with Eva doing well in school and having had excellent feedback on her first parents evening, it was a co-incidence that we were asked to review Furry Friends Watches, and they couldn’t have been any more perfect!

With six different characters to collect, each watch has a different colour and name – Blinky, Chomp, Ditzy, Kooky, Spike and Zany – who have travelled from their planet Wackadoo to Earth for the enjoyment of children. The website is fantastic, describing each individual monster and the things they love such as double chocolate cookies and ice cream, riding their bikes or singing in the shower. Eva loved hearing about the monsters as I read to her from the website, and decided that she would like the yellow monster, Zany, the youngest of the monsters who liked to stick his tongue out, blow raspberries and was learning to ride his spaceship without his stabilisers!

When our watch arrived we were delighted to find that the lovely people at Furry Friends had sent a watch for Megan and Harry too, something which they were so excited about, although Eva was a little put out that as the older sister, she wasn’t the only one with such a privilege!

I was so impressed by how lovely and bright the watches are, with big bold colours and clear numbers for telling the time. Although Eva is not able to tell the time just yet, she is able to recognise her numbers and I think it’s only a matter of time before she picks it up, even more so as she can’t take her eyes off her new watch!
