shopDisney Aladdin: Our Three Wishes
To celebrate the release of the new Aladdin movie and the amazing new range from shopDisney, we were challenged to decide what we would wish for should the Genie grant us three wishes.
As alike as the girls are to look at, they couldn’t be any more different in personality, and so I was interested to see how their wishes would differ. Where as Megan is ruthless when it comes to decision making, Eva takes a little longer and faced with the prospect of three wishes, however hypothetical, she put in some serious thought!
Both girls are huge fans of Aladdin and love the idea of a magical Genie who lives in a lamp. We haven’t seen the new film and yet it is top of our list for the next free day we spend together.
Despite their differences I should have known, even without asking, what the girls first wish would be, and it was no surprise as they both told me in unison “To go to Disneyland!!!”. Disneyland has been their dream since they were tiny and every day they ask have I saved up enough pennies yet. One day I hope I get the chance to make their wish come true!
Their second wishes differed with Eva announcing that she would wish for a pet unicorn and Megan wishing for a pet Husky dog. Eva is unicorn mad and asks for a unicorn every single year for her birthday and Christmas, where as Megan fell in love with the huskies at Lapland last year and has talked about them ever since.
Faced with her last wish Megan was certain that her mind was made up and she finally announced, “For my last wish I wish we had a swimming pool in our house!”. Megan absolutely loves swimming and I would love to have our own private pool, maybe one day!
After a lot of deliberating Eva announced that she was ready to say her final wish and with a very smug look on her face she declared, “I would wish for three more wishes!”. The look on Megan’s face when she realised she had missed a trick was priceless!
Luckily the girls were so pleased with all of their new Aladdin goodies that they soon stopped talking about their wishes, which is a good job really as unless I find a magic lamp I’m going to struggle to make any come true!
As I watched them play I thought about my own magic wishes for my girls and that one was easy. If I had just one wish it would be for the two of them to love each other just as much as they do right now.

I remember seeing Aladin as a child and just like all other Disney movies at the time it was fascinating. I have the books with all the beautiful drawings and we also pretend-played with my grandma’s bathroom mat that we were flying on a magical carpet. I love the girls’ outfits and I bet that they will have lots of fun playing “Aladin”. The whole range seems very pretty and magical, but hey it’s Disney – they never disappoint 🙂 Enjoy!

I love the range!! I know my daughter and I would have great fun! Alladin first came to our screens when I was 5! I love that they are re-making these classics. Disney movies are the best because they never get old and they will be favourites for generations to come. It’s so great to watch them with my kids now and see the excitement in their eyes.
