Non-chocolate Easter gift ideas for children

If your children are anything like mine, they will get enough Easter Eggs this Easter to last them until next Christmas, and so for that reason we tend to leave chocolate gifts to friends and family. And while Easter seems to have gone a little crazy in recent years, becoming almost like a second Christmas, there are lots of little gifts that you can buy instead of an egg that don’t have to cost a small fortune! I thought I would share some of our favourites with you.

1. Bunny Slippers

These gorgeous bunny slippers from Accessorize are utterly adorable for little ones this Easter. I love the knitted design and soft fur lining, and at £12.99 I will definitely be getting some for my girls

2. Harrods Easter Bunny

I love this 2017 Easter Bunny from Harrods, with super soft plush fur and finished with the signature Harrods ribbon. At 35cm tall this is a lovely sized toy for ages three and over, priced at just £9.95.

3. Bunny Jump board game

This game looks like so much fun, the aim being to pull the most carrots from the field without making the bunny jump! It’s very much like Pop Up Pirates, a game which my children love, and this bunny edition is perfect for Easter. Available from Argos for £14.95.

4. Chick pyjamas

These gorgeous pyjamas are perfect for Spring/Summer, in the sweetest little chick pattern! Made from the softest cotton in a shorts and vest design, they are available in ages 2-12 years which is great for people like me who love their children to match! Available from John Lewis at just £13.

5. Bunny ice lolly makers

This is a lovely set of six fun woodland bunny lolly makers. Just pop in fruit juice or squash and fill the mould with your favourite flavours to create delicious homemade ice lollies! Each lolly mould holds approx. 140ml. A bargain at just £5.95 from dot com gift shop.

6. Sweet home rabbit umbrella

My children go crazy for umbrellas and I know that they would love this gorgeous Sweet Home rabbit umbrella from Amazon. At £16.99 it’s a little more expensive than your average umbrella but you can’t put a price on cuteness!

7. Personalised egg cup

Available in a choice of designs with up to 12 letters personalisation, these little egg cups are perfect Easter! I found these over on Ebay, and at £7.99 and an affordable gift.

8. Hungry Bunny Night Light

This hungry bunny night light is so sweet, and at just £3.95 is the same price as an Easter egg! With an LED light and an off switch, I know that my children would adore one of these for bedtime. Available from dot com gift shop.

9. Fair Trade sheep purse

This Fair Trade Sheep Purse is the perfect place for an animal lover to keep their pennies! Fully lined and with a zip fastening, it’s an absolute steal at just £4.19, and even better for every order placed money will be donated to an animal charity.

While the Easter bunny might not be bringing a barrow full of chocolate for the children, I’m secretly hoping that he brings a few eggs my way!!

Some lovely ideas but i can’t help buying chocolate, we are all chocolate lovers in our home. We only have a small family so the kids don’t tend to get loads anyway 🙂 #KCACOLS

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:44 pm

Oh me too. And I will end up buying eggs for the easter hunt! xx

  20. April 5, 2017 / 11:28 am

We do the same here otherwise they get so much stuff. When they were little and had no concept of presents etc we gave them some toys for the summer. As if we waited for their birthday’s in August, summer had pretty much gone!! Now they understand more, we give more low key reasonable gifts. Those bunny slippers are just so cute, my Holly would look adorable in them. And I love those personalised egg cups, my girls would love them and a perfect Easter gift x

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:43 pm

Some people go crazy at Easter now, I know last year I had friends on facebook doing huge piles of presents, I feel like I’m missing something!! Mine will be getting eggs from family and friends, a new outfit (which I would have bought anyway) and a few bits and pieces that are easter related. In all honesty they’d be happy with a crème egg! xx

  21. April 5, 2017 / 2:57 pm

I love this. It is a great idea to give non-chocolate pressies to the kids. They sometimes end up with so much they are still eating it when their birthday rolls around in September! I love the board game. The kids would absolutely adore this, I can imagine them having a lot of fun with that. The question I have is, do they do the slippers in adult sizes? xx

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:36 pm

Yes! So much chocolate that I just end up eating, haha! I’m going to get the board game, might keep them quiet for two minutes! xx

  22. April 5, 2017 / 3:02 pm

We are so mean that we never buy the kids easter eggs, I prefer to get them something they will use and enjoy

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:35 pm

That’s not mean, they get chocolate so often these days! xx

  23. April 5, 2017 / 6:35 pm

When I was a child we got an Easter basket with a fewide sweet goodies in it, a stuffed bunny or chicken and then a book, colours etc

Great post and some lovely non chocolate gift ideas.

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:35 pm

Oh that’s such a lovely idea! xx

  24. April 5, 2017 / 7:29 pm

Love the look of the bunny ice lolly moulds, I remember making lollies like that when I was little and I’ve seen a couple baby led weaning style things that use a similar holder so I may have to invest. Nice to see something other than chocolate (because there’s no way I’m sharing with the baby!) #kcacols

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:33 pm

We love home made ice lollies, way better than shop bought ones loaded with enumbers! Plus we put yogurt in and make frozen yoghurt lollies too! xxx

  25. April 5, 2017 / 7:41 pm

What super cute ideas. Love the umbrella x

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:33 pm

Me too! I’m tempted to get one myself! xx

  27. April 5, 2017 / 8:26 pm

Aren’t they sweet? Happy easter! xx

  28. April 5, 2017 / 8:50 pm

This is great as I’ve been looking for some non chocolate ideas since we still have sweets left from Christmas! I’m also now sure what to get Kipper for his first Easter since I got Monkey a rabbit and a little mug for his first. Better get my skates on though as it’s not long. Hope you have a great Easter xx

I adore the egg cups & the fair trade sheep purse! How lovely! It’s ironic because I was looking at egg cups today for my kiddies. I like to have non-chocolate / sugary things for them on Easter too! x

    • Laura Dove
      April 6, 2017 / 2:22 pm

The egg cups are fab aren’t they? I’ve ordered some, although I’m sure they will think they are to eat their crème eggs out of! xx

Great list! Easter can get a bit much with all the chocolate for the little ones so we prefer to get them a few little bits and pieces like these instead too. I havent started getting our Easter bits yet so this is perfectly timed, and you’ve picked out lots of lovely and affordable things too 🙂 I’m sure your little ones will have a lovely Easter! Great post, thanks for sharing it on #MarvMondays. Emily

      April 9, 2017 / 2:44 pm

Thanks Emily. It’s Lewis’s 13th birthday on Easter Sunday so it’s worked out quite nicely that when the youngest three are crying because Lewis has got all the presents, they will have some little bits to open too! Have a lovely Easter! xx

Great list, I can believe is almost Easter already.

Those slippers are super cute! I always buy Stacey a pair of bunny slippers for Easter, but I usually get them from The Little White Company. I hope Accessorize have something similar next year though as they cater more for her age range 🙂
