Wipe away your Halloween horrors with Water Wipes

With Halloween just around the corner, if your children are anything like mine, you’ll be listening to their constant chatter of which Halloween costume they want, which face paint design they are after, and how many sweets they are going to eat!

I can’t help but feel that Halloween seems to have gone a little mad over recent years. When I was a child we were happy to dress in a bin bag and a witches hat and knock on our own front door for a packet of Chewitts! Now statistics show that UK residents spend a whopping £460 million on Halloween essentials in 2015 and this year is set to be no different.

Whether your little horror has sticky fingers from too many sweets, or fake blood that just wont budge, WaterWipes – the world’s purest baby wipes – are the ideal baby essential this Halloween. And at £2.70 a pack, they won’t break the bank!

This week we have been trying out some face paint ideas, none of which looked anything like the pictures the children have chosen from Pinterest! Eva was so horrified by my first attempts that she insisted I wipe it off, even before I’d had time to finish both eyes!

Luckily WaterWipes are just 99.9% water with a drop of fruit extract, meaning that they won’t irritate sensitive skin, even around the eye area. Even better, WaterWipes do not contain oil extracts so you can be assured that they won’t clog your child’s pores and lead to further irritation.

Gently wiping in a circular motion is the most effective way to remove stubborn face paint. As children’s skin is much thinner than adults, Midwife, Margaret Merrigan Feenan recommends you use cotton wool and water or WaterWipes.

And because WaterWipes left Eva’s skin feeling so fresh and clean, we can keep practicing until we finally master the perfect skeleton just in time for Halloween! Wish me luck!

WaterWipes are available from Boots, Amazon.co.uk, Ocado.co.uk and major supermarkets.

What a great use for water wipes. My little girls the same she wants her face painted but then once it’s done changes her mind. However having to wash it off can sometimes leave her skin red and a bit sore after. It’s great to know these are good for sensitive skin. Great post thanks x

My children are much older now but I remember what a problem it was to get face paint off with no after marks . These wipes seem really great and probably would be great for regular make up removal too.

As a mother of an 18 months old finding the right – non toxic- wet wipes was crucial. It was not easy because in my country (Hungary) most of the natural brands are not available only online and the delivery from abroad can take up to a week. So I was incredibly happy when recently they introduced Water Wipes at the bigger supermarkets. I’m a huge fan of it, never buying any other brands.

I find it crazy that Halloween was a bigger deal when I was in college than it ever was when I was a kid! I have to say, I love all the newer special effects makeup tutorials though, I think they’re super cool. I always struggle so much to get it off though.

Wet wipes are always good to have on hand for things like Halloween! I never really got into Halloween but then I wasn’t allowed to trick or treat as a kid and my town wasn’t big on it either but it looks so much fun for little ones. I always loved any excuse to dress up as a Princess as a child!

I would never have thought about using them for Halloween face paint. Great idea. At our place we have wet wipes in the house, in the car, and everywhere in between. Between the puppies, my husband and I it seems like there’s always something that needs wiping. x

Wipes for Halloween makeup are always a good thing to have around. Although most of the ones I have used do smear a bit. Good to know about these ones.

I love products, like these wipes, that are very safe and have little oils, since that is my biggest issue with my oily skin! Your daughter looked adorable, even with one eye day for her halloween make up!
