Love for all Dads with Boots for Father’s Day
*AD – This is a collaborative post in conjunction with Boots.com
Growing up I used to think that Father’s Day was all about Dad’s, in particular my own Dad whom I would always buy something practical like new slippers, bath products or sometimes just a giant bar of chocolate. I guess it wasn’t really until I got older and had children of my own that I realised Dad’s come in all shapes and sizes and being a Dad isn’t necessarily about genetics, or even having a child at all, it’s about taking on a fatherly role, whatever that may be.
This Father’s Day, Boots are celebrating a love for all Dads, with a huge range of Father’s Day gifts to say a big thank you for all they do. I am so lucky to have my Dad in my life, living just around the corner, and that he is present to play such a huge role in my children’s life lives, too. They absolutely adore him and I truly believe that the greatest gift I ever gave my parents was grandchildren. The children will no doubt be spoiling their Grandad on Father’s Day and enjoyed choosing his favourite aftershave Gucci Guilty Eau de Parfum For Him to surprise him with on Father’s Day alongside an array of home-made cards.
I’m also very lucky to have a wonderful Daddy to my children, who will be inundated with cards, gifts and all of his favourite aftershaves and toiletries this Father’s Day. The children spent a huge amount of time looking for gifts for Dad on the Boots website last week, each picking out their choices and hiding it away when our parcel arrived. With so many gifts to choose from it was hard to choose just one but Eva chose Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men Eau de Toilette, Megan chose No7 Men Protect and Perfect serum and Harry chose a Ted Baker body spray trio gift set. One of my favourite things about the Boots gifting range is how it caters to all budgets which is so important on Father’s Day so every Dad can wake up to a gift, no matter how big or small.
On top of being an amazing Daddy to Eva, Megan and Harry, Gaz has been an incredible Step Dad to Lewis for the last thirteen years. I always think that any man who takes on and loves another child as his own is remarkable and every Father’s Day Lewis thanks him for all he has done for him over the years. At the same time it’s important to acknowledge Lewis’s Dad for being there for him every single day of his life, even though our family did not stay together I always feel incredibly grateful that although our marriage did not work out, we have successfully co-parented alongside our new partners to make sure that Lewis had the most wonderful life possible. I guess that’s what being a Dad is all about.
Lewis has already chosen some items from the huge range of gifts for him from Boots and put together a little hamper of products including the Bulldog Original Face Wash, Ted Baker Hair and Body Wash Vintage Amber and the matching Ted Baker Body Spray Vintage Amber. Although Boots have some lovely gift sets available, I love choosing out the items individually and tailoring a gift to suit a specific skin time or hair type. It’s a great way to add a more personalised feel to a gift and so easy to do especially on the website where you can search by skin type, fragrance, key features and format.
I love that Boots are celebrating all Dads and this Father’s Day we will certainly be celebrating all of ours.
Have you bought your Father’s Day gifts yet?
