All I Want For Christmas With Boots

When it comes to buying Christmas presents I spend a lot of time trying to find the perfect gift for my family and friends. Thanks to a recent survey conducted by Boots, the UK’s leading pharmacy- led health and beauty retailer, it turns out I’m not the only one who finds it difficult! 41% of Brits say that choosing the gift is the most difficult part of Christmas shopping and almost a quarter start their Christmas shopping in August!

Like me, 57% of people say that seeing the persons face when opening the gift is their favourite part of gifting with us giving the most thought to our parents presents (38%) followed by children (20%). I also loved that 65% of pet owners buy gifts for their pets, I know we buy for Oscar!

Boots also discovered that when it comes to Christmas dinner there’s a real favourite with 69% of people choosing roast potatoes as the most essential part! Chocolate coins and oranges make up the quintessential Christmas stocking, something I totally agree with and have found in my stocking since childhood.

Boots asked me which persons gift receives the most thought and for me, that will usually come down to my husband. I find Gaz is incredible difficult to buy for and there is often nothing at all I can can think of that he wants or needs! He is hard work!

They also asked when do I start my Christmas shopping, something I usually try and do right throughout the year to a) spread the cost and b) avoid that mad panic when December comes around having to buy for four children and our family members!

And lastly they asked me what is the most quintessential Christmas dinner food and in my opinion there is just one – pigs in blankets!

With the Boots 3 for 2 offer running across all Christmas gifts, I took the opportunity to choose something from the Christmas gifts for her range, the Christmas gifts for him range, and to choose something for myself as a Christmas gift from me to….well, me!

For her

Every year since I was a young child I have bought my Mum the same thing for Christmas, a new pair of slippers. Of course I usually add in something else more personal, like a photo of the children or a calendar made up of all of our photos from throughout the year, but I know she also really loves her new slippers and wears them each day! I love these Sheepskin Mule Slippers by totes, handcrafted with the softest fur for extra cosiness, and as part of the 3 for 2 deal they work out at a real bargain!

For him

At 15, buying for Lewis has become increasingly difficult and although, of course, he has ideas of his own (which, incidentally, cripple my bank balance), I still like to get him some surprises to wrap up for Christmas morning. I love the Boots toiletry gift sets, you can never have too many toiletries and especially for teenage boys, encouraging good personal hygiene wrapped up in a gift set is a double win! This fcuk set includes three body sprays, all of which smell amazing, and at £10 in the 3 for 2 offer it’s a great way to stock up!

For me

Everyone deserves a treat this Christmas and when I was asked to choose something for myself I put in a lot of thought! I eventually decided on this pixi skin treats box which has three amazing products including the Glow Tonic, Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel and the pHenomenal Gel. I have heard amazing things about the pixi range and never tried it before, I always do that thing of feeling guilty about splashing out on myself when I could be buying something for the kids (Mum guilt is tough!) and at £60 this is more than I would usually spend. But with the 3 for 2, and with my skin very much deserving some TLC, I am absolutely loving these products!
