Sharing the Blog Love Showcase #52
Sharing the Blog Love Showcase

Welcome back to #SharingtheBlogLove and my weekly showcase post. I hope you have all had a lovely week! We have had such a busy week somehow with lots of birthday parties, a trip to the seaside, the cinema and Sealife Centre. In between all of that I have enjoyed reading your fantastic posts, and as always here are my four favourites…..
Life, Motherhood & Everything
This post, The fear and worry of parenthood , was one that I could really relate to. I have always been a naturally anxious person but since having the children my worries have gone through the roof! I found it so reassuring to know that others worry about the same things that I do, being a parent really is the most worrying, toughest job in the world!
Reflections from me
I have to confess, Mac is one of my favourite bloggers and every post she shares touches me on some level. This post, You can make a difference, was exactly what I needed to read right now. It can be very hard to focus on the negatives in the world as we face such worrying times with the war against terrorism, but Mac reminds us to look for the positives, the helpers, the fact that if we all stand together we can make a difference, and I truly love this post.
Daydreams of a Mum
This post, My children do not come from a broken home ,really resonated with me. When my first marriage ended after eleven years together, I was left a single Mum with a four year old son, and I felt as though I had failed. People are so quick to throw around the phrase, “Broken home” and for those who find themselves raising a child alone, it can be very hard to hear. I love how Kelly tells us that her home is not broken at all, infact it is fixed, and I relate to this whole heartedly.
Tooting Mama
This post, Would you let your child play with a plastic surgery app?
both saddened and horrified me in equal measures. It terrifies me that our children are being raised in a society which is obsessed with appearance and “perfection”, so much so that there are apps aimed at young children where they can perform virtual plastic surgery. The statistics in this post really shocked me and made me more intent than ever to raise my children to be confident and proud of the body they were born with.
Please do pop over and check out any of these posts that you have missed, show them a little love, spread a little happiness, and we hope to see you back here again next week!!

Wow it sounds like a busy week for you, I didn’t catch a couple of these so off to read now x

I often read the news and wonder what on earth I can do to make any difference in the world. It’s so hard at times when it all seems negative but then I remind myself that I can make a difference in my own little world, if nothing else. Thanks for hosting #sharingthebloglove 🙂
Ahh of course you can. Thank you for joining us. xx
Off to have a read now 🙂

Gosh, you sound like you’ve had a very busy week. I’m looking forward to reading some of the posts that I missed last week #sharingthebloglove
Thank you so much for selecting my blog post, it really saddens me that there are games like that out there. I’ve really struggled with body image etc and really want to channel body positivity with my kids, then there are apps pedalling stereotypes and princess myths. Agggrrrhhh! #sharingthebloglove
You’re very welcome, it was such a great post! Thank you for joining us again! xx
I really love your posts for finding new reads. I’ve kind of got stuck in a rut with who I following in the blogging world but looks like some great ones here to read. Thank you 🙂
Mac is one of my favourite bloggers too, her posts are always inspirational. I just read Kelly’s broken home post and as a child from a so called broken home it really resonated with me too. The stereotype always makes me angry.

OMG that plastic surgery app is terrible. Just makes you wonder why we need such things – for adults and definitely for kids!
Isn’t it? It terrifies me that these things are aimed at children! Thank you for joining us. xx
