The Snowman Tour 2017

If I was asked to tell you my memories of Christmas as a child, along with the trips to Santa’s grotto, decorating the tree and opening presents, it would be of sitting in the lounge on Christmas day, watching The Snowman with my family, completely mesmerised by the music and the story. And I think that would be the case for many.

So you can imagine my excitement when I heard about The Snowman Tour 2017, coming to a variety of venues this Christmas including Chester Catherdral, York Minster, Liverpool, Lichfeld, Durham, Worcester, Coventry Cathedrals as well as the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom and beautiful Hull City Hall.

With world class musicians performing Howard Blake’s beautiful soundtrack – including the evocative “Walking in the Air” sung by a local child soloist –  perfect synchronicity with the film shown on a giant screen, I’m sure there wont be a dry eye in the house!

This really is the most magical, wonderful Christmas experience to share as a family and I for one cannot wait!! The children and I watched the promotional video together and there was nothing but complete silence, followed by, “Can we go and see that!!”

At Chester, Chesterfield, Derby, Coventry, Oldham, Blackpool, Hanley and Hull there is a new performance this year –  an exclusive animated film of the award winning book, The Bear and the Piano, by David Litchfield. With the silky smooth voice of Joanna Lumley narrating, along with a beautiful accompanying score, it looks set to become a family favourite for the next generation.

At York, Worcester, Lichfield, Liverpool and Durham the second performance will be The Nutcracker Suite with an accompanying exclusive animated film in the first half.

With many venues predicted to sell out long before December, buy your tickets soon to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available >>> here <<<

Suitable for all ages from 3+

  6. My daughter loves the Snowman and has two of the exact same teddies. Would love to take her to the tour, I reckon she’d love it. There isn’t one around here, but I think a trip to London to see it would be so worth it.
