8 reasons to choose Kiani Beach Resort Crete for your Spring holiday

I’m sure I’m not the only one who is desperate for some sunshine right now and, with Summer still so far away, we have been planning our Spring travel to boost our Vitamin D and enjoy some family time together. I know often we can have reservations about travelling out of season, especially when you have children and need to be sure that they are fully entertained so you can take the chance to breathe, but at Kiani Beach Resort, Crete, not only do they get beautiful weather from Spring right through to Autumn, but they can provide everything you need to have the perfect holiday whatever the time of year.

Having visited Kiani Beach Resort in 2020 we completely fell in love with the resort and I wanted to share ten reasons why it’s the perfect location for a Spring holiday this year.

1. 20% Discount for booking direct

Kiani Beach Resort not only has availability this spring, but they are offering a massive 20% discount for all direct bookings via their website www.seaceretehotels.com. With direct flights with discount airlines it can work out so much cheaper to book the holiday direct as opposed to a package deal and, thanks to travel insurance, you still have the same protection should anything change.

2. Enjoy a VIP Upgrade

I love that Kiani Beach Resort offers a VIP Upgrade for just 20 euros per adult per day, something which is incredible value and well worth the money. Not only does it mean you get the premium all inclusive drinks package including branded alcoholic beverages, cocktails and up to two bottles of house wine with your meals, but you also get premium soft drinks, Barista coffee and fresh water in your room each day. There are so many more benefits to the VIP upgrade such as 10% discount in the Mini-Market, the excursions and car hire as well as double speed WiFi throughout. You can read the full list on the website here.

3. Sun filled days

If you’re looking for sunshine then look no further than Crete. Due to its Southerly location it has one of the mildest climates in the Mediterranean, even through the Autumn and Winter months, Throughout the Spring you can expect beautiful sunny days with an average rainfall of just 30mm and, although it may feel a little cooler at night than it does in the Summer, it’s still very extremely mild and pleasant.

4. Indoor pool

The great thing about Kiani Beach Resort, which many do not offer, is that alongside the two outdoor pool complexes (one of which as a 50 metre lane for swimming), they also have a heated indoor pool which means no matter what the time of year, you can still always enjoy swimming as a family. I know the pools are always the highlight of any holiday for our children and so I love that even in the Winter and Autumn months, swimming is always on the cards.

5. Enjoy excursions and activities

One of the positives of visiting Crete in the Spring is that, although you can still enjoy beautiful weather during your stay, you can enjoy taking part in excursions and activities without the searing heat of the Summer sun. Kiani Beach resort has an excursions and activity kiosk in the hotel lobby where you can book a number of trips to suit all interests, ages and abilities. Whether you’d like to Scuba dive, enjoy a winery tour or take a trip to the pink sands of Elafonissi, the tour operators are so good at giving advice as to what is best for your family, arranging private coach or taxi hire to the hotel door, and offer extremely competitive rates compared to local tour operators.

6. Kids Club

After the last couple of years I think every parent deserves a little peace and quiet, whether that’s reading a book by the pool or sipping cocktails in the bar, so you’ll be relieved to know that Kiani Beach offers a kids club which our children attended and enjoyed every minute of. Running 6 days a week the kids club runs alongside the animation programme which also includes an evening Mini Disco, donkey rides, face painting, T Shirt making and more. You can choose how often and for how long your children attend the kids club but by the end of the holiday our children much preferred to be in there playing with their friends than spending time with us!

7. All-inclusive dining

Kiani Beach resort offers two stunning restaurants offering some of the finest Mediterranean specialities including fresh fish, pasta, meats, poultry, local cheese’s, fresh salads and vegetables, all prepared with Cretan olive oil and the finest local ingredients. The two main restaurants run as a buffet system with all food included, plus there is a pool side snack bar 11am – 11pm where you can get light snacks and fresh pancakes. There is also a roof top a la carte restaurant which is not included within the all-inclusive package but you can enjoy a 40% discount with the VIP upgrade!

8. The perfect location to make memories

Of all of our travels, it’s got to be said that Kiani Beach has a very special place in our hearts. Not only is the hotel itself utterly beautiful, the food completely delicious and the location idyllic, but it has such a relaxing and soothing atmosphere and the service we received during our stay was faultless. Family run, the staff at Kiani Beach could not have been more helpful, attentive or friendly whether that was checking in on arrival, in the restaurants or at the bar. I think after everything we’ve been through over the last two years we are all looking for a holiday to recover, to distract us from the current events in the world and to make memories together as a family. If you’re debating a Spring getaway, or indeed a holiday at any point this year, then we cannot recommend Kiani Beach Resort enough.
