8 fun things to do at Liverpool ONE this Summer
If you’re in the North-West and looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this Summer, look no further than Liverpool ONE where you can entertain the whole family all in one place. We recently visited with the children and loved trying out some of the fun activities available this Summer, many of which are free to enjoy. Here are some of our favourites!
1. The Big Screen
Watch The Big Screen on the park and enjoy a variety of sports broadcast live. Here you’ll find deck chairs and comfy bean bags to make yourself comfortable as well as an ice cream van and various other drinks and refreshments. It’s such a great atmosphere and so much fun to enjoy watching live sports together!
2. Enjoy a delicious meal
Liverpool ONE has so many restaurants to choose from as well as fast food options to enjoy on the go. We visited Bem Brasil which is an all you can eat steakhouse and let me tell you, it is utterly delicious. From perfectly barbecued meats to tasty cocktails, every single dish was incredible and I love that there is something for everyone, even fussy easters like Harry.
3. Visit Escape Live!
Escape Live! is such a fun attraction where you can try the Horrible Histories escape room which is exclusive to Liverpool ONE! The idea is to solve all of the clues before the timer runs out and it really makes you put your brain and gear and work together as a team. We absolutely loved it and it’s a great option for those rainy Summer days too!
4. Tickle the Ivories of the freeplay pianos
If you’re wanting to try out your musical skills you’ll find freeplay pianos scattered around Liverpool ONE which you can either book a slot for or just play a little tune on passing. The kids loved sharing their music (ahem…) with an audience and it was great to sit and listen to passersby share theirs.
5. The Upside Down House
The Upside Down House can be found right next to the big Liverpool sign opposite John Lewis and is such a fun attraction. As the name suggests, everything is upside down and there are so many fun photo opportunities inside to share with your friends. It’s so popular with kids and a great way to pass some time too.

6. Play Ping Pong
If you’re looking for a free activity to enjoy you can play ping pong here at Liverpool ONE with bats available from MooBoo kiosk by the Sugar House Steps and Gravity MAX. When the weather is nice it’s great to spend time outdoors with family and friends and a ping pong tournament is always fun.
7. Take part in a trail
You can do a tour of the Nature Trail or the Heritage Trail and both are completely free! The Summer holidays can be expensive when it comes to entertaining kids so it’s a great idea to take advantage of the free activities whilst enjoying the sunny weather and keeping active.
8. Go shopping
The great thing about Liverpool ONE is that it has so many of the kids favourite toy stores from LEGO to Kenji, The Entertainer to John Lewis. We’ve all been there with kids getting fed up trailing around the shops so it’s always a great bartering tool to have toy shops to look forward to. We love the LEGO store and the fun activities available inside such as building your own LEGO character to free play with the LEGO tables throughout the store.
