Sun, sand and snacks with Ella’s Kitchen

I don’t know about you, but my children are always hungry! They can have just polished off a huge roast dinner and they’re already asking for the next thing, usually something sweet and sugary! I try very hard to make sure that my children eat healthy snacks at home and yet when we are out and about and it’s a matter of convenience, a packet of crisps or a sugary cereal bar seems like the easiest option.

So when Ella’s Kitchen announced their new toddler snack range, aimed at children 12 months and over, we were all very excited to try them! The snacks are all totally organic with no added refined sugar or salt, no concentrates, additives or colourings, and the range includes –

  • Parsnip & poppyseed savoury biscuits
  • Carrot & Lentil crunchy sticks
  • Cheese & Leek crunchy wheels
  • Raisin & Oat cookies
  • Banana & Raisin oaty fingers
  • Strawberry & Apple oaty fingers

I was interested to learn that Ella’s Kitchen have recently collaborated with selected Odeon Cinema’s to allow film goers to sample their new range. Unfortunately none of our local cinemas were taking part in this event, yet the lovely people at Ella’s Kitchen were kind enough to send us some samples of our own. And given the fact that there are no better testers than my little snackers, a day out to Formby was a great opportunity to try them this weekend.

Whilst Eva and her sweet tooth were all about the cookies, Megan couldn’t wait to try the crunchie wheels.

I tried one of each and unlike other toddler snacks I have tried previously, I could easily have finished the whole bag!

Harry loved the banana and raisin oaty fingers, and given that he is just about the fussiest three year old I have ever met, that speaks volumes!

The snacks were a huge success with the children, and we will definitely be taking more of them on our days out. With the snacks coming in multi packs as well as single packets, they are perfect for my little ones.
