Mothers Day Gift Guide 2021 ** Win £60 gift card **
With Mother’s Day just a matter of weeks away, we have been compiling a selection of gifts to suit all Mums! Thankfully all of the following items can be bought on-line, a huge help during a time non-essential shops aren’t open, and many can be sent direct to the recipient with gift wrapping and personalised notes which is perfect for a time they can’t be handed over in person. For me, I’m hoping for a little peace and quiet and a long lie-in, but hopefully a couple of surprises from the children too!
For Mum’s who love to cook
For those who love to cook the Sous Chef Sakura Ramen Bowl Set is a practical, but completely luxurious gift set for those who love Japanese food especially. The set includes two gorgeous sakura blossom ramen bowls, two ramen ladles, a full colour ramen recipe booklet and is packed together in a reusable drawstring cotton gift bag.
The sakura design is stunning (representing cherry blossom which is revered for its beauty and how it heralds the start of the new season across Japan) and with each bowl imported from Japan, they could not be any more authentic. The set currently retails at £47.50.
For Mum’s who love a drink
If ever there was a time us Mum’s need a drink it’s the last year, I know I’ve looked forward to the evenings when home school is done, the kids are in bed and I can kick back with a drink. The Cranes Cranberry gin is a personal favourite at the moment, deliciously smooth and fruity but with that gorgeous sharpness that tastes amazing with tonic.

Made from premium cranberries and handcrafted in Cambridgeshire in small batches, it’s made entirely from all natural ingredients, contains no added sugar or artificial flavours and is both gluten free and vegan friendly. Currently retailing at £32 for a 70cl bottle, I’m sure it will be a welcome gift for many Mums and gin enthusiasts!
For those who prefer rum, the Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced Rum brings together the very best Caribbean rum from Trinidad and Guyana along with its own distinctive blend of spices. With notes of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and raisin, as well as cardamom and sea salt, it has such a distinctive and delicious taste. Even better, 10% of all profits from Hawksbill sales go directly towards conservation projects in the Caribbean.

Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced rum is available from Amazon, Master of Malt, Drink Supermarket, Drinks & Co and Spirit of Harrogate and currently retails at £23 for a 70cl bottle. If you’re looking for something a little different than your usual spirits, I would definitely recommend giving this a try!
For those who want to go the extra mile, the Keepr’s Gin Tasting Set is a gorgeous hamper, ready gift wrapped with an optional customised label, personalised with your choice of message. The set gives you everything you need for some gin tasting:

For Mum’s who enjoy a sweet treat
For those, like me, who love a sweet treat, you can’t go wrong with cupcakes! Send Them Cupcakes is a family run cupcake shop delivery fresh and tasty cupcakes to the UK! Made 100% from scratch, baked using only the finest and most natural ingredients, they can provide 6 or 6000 cupcakes for any occasion, however big or small.

For just £14.90 you can have one of the gorgeous Mother’s Day six cupcake boxes delivered to your Mum, choosing from a whole range of delicious flavours. We loved the Teaser Variety box containing two raspberry dream cupcakes, two chocolate heaven and two Malteser mint medley! Plus each gift comes with a free gift card to add that personal touch. With a host of celebrity clients, they come highly recommended!
For Mums who like to get outdoors
For Mum’s who like to spend time outdoors, be that tiring out their very energetic children or just enjoying some peace and quiet (no prizes for guessing which I am!), Tog24 have some gorgeous Mother’s Day gift ideas including this stunning Kilnsey packaway waterproof. In a faded pink with a spotty design, this lightweight jacket is both practical and stylish, windproof and yet breathable, and packs away in the bag provided for easy transportation.

I love the adjustable toggles at the waist to create a flattering silhoutte, as well as the cuffed sleeves and longer length. It’s such a great jacket as we head into Spring, keeping the rain out and shielding you from the wind, but great for Spring temperatures as the sun comes out. Currently retailing at £90, it’s a jacket I will be wearing straight through from Spring to Summer and back into Autumn!
For those who love spending time in the garden, you can brighten up your outdoor space with the most incredible Narla Garden Art. A UK based online studio, Narla develops personalised metal artworks which look incredible indoors or outdoors. All pieces are made from Cor-ten Steel to give each piece an individual contemporary feel and you can even add in optional lighting to really create a perfect garden feature.

The Tree is one of my favourite pieces on the site, measuring 500mm x 500mm and rusted prior to dispatch to give a stunning rustic look which just gets better and better with age. Retailing at £205 these are a real investment piece and with us spending so much time at home this year, I think anyone would be pleased to have one in their garden to enjoy at home.
For Mum’s who love a little luxury
For Mum’s who need a little luxury, especially a pamper session or two after the year we’ve just had, a Pamper Hamper from Red Letter Days is exactly the kind of gift they need! The Pamper Hamper contains everything you need to enjoy some luxury pamper time at home, showering yourself or someone special with luxury treats and an evening of self-care.
Each Pamper Hamper contains:
- Prosecco R&R Robert & Reeves Italy 20cl 11% vol e
- Linden Lady Handmade Luxury Florentines 125g
- Naturally European Verbena Luxury Body Lotion 500ml
- Naturally European Verbena Luxury Shower Gel 500ml
- Pintail White Lily & Silk Candle
- Presented in a silver and white metallic weave tray
Priced at £45.50 I think this is a great price for the amount of product included and definitely a gift that would be so well received this Mother’s Day. I’d be over the moon, especially with those florentines!
For those who are looking for luxury skin care, British brand Angela Langford has the most stunning, organic, vegan, cruelty free, mood boosting skincare products made by hand in Pembrokeshire. I absolutely adore this range, I’ve been fortunate to try several of the products over the years but for me, the Clean Sweep Cleansing Balm is a game changer.

Containing chamomile, apricot and almond, the softening and smoothing cleansing balm smells and feels amazing on your skin. Plus with glugs of almond, apricot, safflower and jojoba, blended with chamomile, cacoa, lemon & eucalyptus, it leaves your skin smoother, softer and gives you a gorgeous healthy glow! Priced at just £18, it’s one of the best skincare products I’ve ever tried.
I also adore the Holy Lama Naturals collection, a nourishing and ethical brand of soaps to care for Mum and for Mother Earth. Hand made in Kerala, Holy Lama Natural Soaps are 100% natural, contain no parabens or harsh chemicals, no animal fats, are ethically sourced and registered with the vegan society. Even more unique, their packaging is totally natural too, made from leaves from the Areca palm so there’s no plastic at all in sight.
With extra virgin coconut oil the base for all soaps, they don’t crack or go mushy, and instead work into a rich creamy lather that leaves your skin feeling incredible! Available as individual soaps or as part of a gift set, with prices starting at just £5, they are a lovely gift and we will definitely continue to use these soaps in our home.
Another great product we have enjoyed lately is the Paw Paw Overnight Lip Mask which is 99% natural and vegan and cruelty free. It has a smooth gel-like texture, goes on over night like an intense lip mask treatment, and gives noticeable results after the first application! Natural Peptides both pump lips and smooth any fine lines and at just £8.95 it’s a lovely little gift for us Mums.

Last year I was introduced to the most amazing brand Transformulas and their products have made a huge difference to my skin care regime. I love that their products actually do what they promise to do, giving you soft, flawless skin and working miracles! At this time of year my skin is so dry but for the first year since using these products, it feels so hydrated!
They are running an offer starting from 15th February for Mothers day offering a Free Marine Miracle Eyezone with any Marine Miracle Creme purchase. Marine Miracle creme retails at £69.00 – eyezone is usually priced at £34 however as a Mothers Day exclusive they are offering both products for just £69.00. This is such a great opportunity to try Transformulas and I definitely can’t recommend it enough!
I also love the Beauty of Eczema range, a gorgeous range of products designed to give a little luxury to even the most sensitive of skin. We are so careful about the products we use in our house, not only because of Harry’s severe eczema, but my many allergies on top. It’s always disappointing to try a new pampering product and have a reaction so I love that with Beauty of Eczema you don’t have to miss out!
The Bathing Deluxe Bundle is a fantastic gift idea consisting of Salty Soother bath salts (a gorgeous blend of pink Himalayan, Dead Sea and Epson salts with oils to soothe and moisture), Pamper Me Bathing Oil (packed with skin friendly ingredients to soothe and protect) and 2 x Skin Warrior Wash (with soothing sweet almost and oat kernels). At just £60 for the full bundle it’s a great gift!
If it’s hair care you’re after, ManeUK.com have a fantastic range of hair products particularly for those, like me, who have found their hair has not only greyed during lockdown, but thinned too! I love the Mane thickening spray and root concealer, available in a range of twelve colours which can be seamlessly blended with your natural hair colour. Not only does it leave my hair feeling thicker than ever, but it covers my roots and leaves my hair feeling fresh! At a time the hair salons aren’t open, this has been a real godsend!

For Mum’s who like to look stylish
For Mum’s who like to look stylish, and who no doubt are missing the shops, I have the most gorgeous Mother’s Day gift suggestion in the form of the Glencroft Limestone Pavement jumper. Made in the UK from 100% British wool, this lightweight jumper is named after the limestone pavement rock formations that surround Glencroft in the Yorkshire Dales.
I actually have this jumper and was pre-warned that it would smell like wool which it does but I see that as a real positive. It’s a “proper jumper” if that makes sense, the kind that makes you feel like you’re ready for any adventure, and it looks so stylish too! Priced at £99.95 it’s such a good investment and with a timeless design, will never go out of fashion.
For Mum’s who love to talk
I don’t know about you but my mobile phone is pretty much my only means of communication with anyone in my life right now and making sure it’s fully powered at all times is imperative! Thanks to the IonGo 5K Duo portable battery charger a compact, lightweight and sleek design designed to charge two of your devices at the same time, you can be sure that you never run out of power! With built in Lightning and USB-C cables, you never have to worry about forgetting your chargers again, plus with a 5000 man battery it can keep you charged all day long.

Made from stylish vegan leather, charging your iPhone more than two times faster than your standard Apple charger, it can even provide power after 27 months in storage. Priced at £74,95 it’s a great investment and I will definitely be grateful for it when our travels kick back in and my phone battery needs a boost!
For Mum’s who love to shop
If you aren’t sure what to buy your Mum this year, a Town and City Gift Card is a great gift for her to treat herself when the shops reopen. Cards can be used not only in shops, but in hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, beauty salons, hairdressers, theatres and so much more! You can choose the town or city you want the card for, add the amount, and it’s as simply as that!

For Mum’s who have everything
It can be hard sometimes to think of a gift for the Mum who has everything but thanks to Wilko’s there are gifts for everyone! From a gorgeous Queen Bee cushion priced at just £5, to a Mum in a Million mug at just £2.50, even a gorgeous Lovely Lady make up bag at £5, Wilko always have such affordable and unique gift ideas for every occasion.
It wouldn’t be Mother’s Day without a special Mum mug, not in our house anyway, and I think it’s the smallest gifts that sometimes mean the most, especially when they’re brought to you in bed by two little hands and a beaming smile that morning.
For Mum’s who love to travel
For Mum’s who love to travel, I have the most amazing suggestion of a gift in the form of an El Camino bracelet. El Camino Bracelets is a travel bracelet company that allows you to collect the different places you have travelled to from around the world and add them to your bracelet. You can create a whole travel story to be worn around your wrist to look back on. How special is that?
Not only can you add destinations to your bracelet, but you can customise beads to represent special dates and names, such as birthdays, anniversaries, your children’s names or special places. I’ve never seen anything like this before and just think they are the most unique and personalised jewellery pieces to really treasure for always. At a time when travel has been put on hold, how lovely it must be to have all of those special memories to look back on!
WIN!!!!
The lovely people at El Camino have offered one of my lucky readers the chance to win a £60 El Camino Bracelets gift card to treat yourself or your Mum on the website. To enter simply follow via the link below and one winner will be chosen at random and notified via email at close of competition on Sunday 21st March. Good luck!
