Introducing the new Spirit Riding Free toy range

If you were to ask Eva and Megan what their favourite TV programme was to watch, they would both tell you, without a moments hesitation, Spirit Riding Free. Both horse mad, they absolutely adore Spirit Riding Free, a show which centres around a group of three friends who together experience coming of age and the power of friendship. Lucky, a gutsy 12 year old girl, befriends a wild mustang she names Spirit and, along with her two best friends Abigail and Pru, with their horses by their sides, they experience a world filled with endless rides and never ending fun. Together they’ll push their own limits and discover what it truly means to be free. And as a parent, it’s the kind of show I am more than happy for them to watch and believe the message it sends out is such an important one.

Today season 8 of Spirit Riding Free has been released on Netflix and I can’t even tell you how excited the children are about that! I have already had to promise them that we can watch the first episode after school and I know our weekend will be filled with Spirit Riding Free, playing with their toys and plenty of horse chat!

To celebrate the release we were kindly sent a package of Spirit Riding Free horse toys from Smyths which the girls were over the moon with. They have slowly built up a lovely collection of toys over the last year and are always excited to add to it.

The girls favourite toy they received was the Sprit Riding Free Horse & Stable Set, perfect for those who like to play on the go! Included in the set is a 7″ horse, a stable, hay, shovel, rake, saddle, bridle, brush, tack box and sticker sheet.

The stable walls open up to create a large play area and the accessories allow the girls to use their imaginations which is always lovely to watch. They particularly love that the horse comes with fully brushable hair which I just know they will love to style!

The great thing is that the roof of the stable doubles up as an easy to carry handle – perfect for my girls who just love to take their toys whenever we go. I can imagine this set is going to be a firm favourite on our travels and from my point of view it’s great that the girls can carry it themselves as I’m usually the one who ends up juggling everything!

The girls were very excited to also receive Lucky and Sprit, the stars of the show. Spirit is both of the girls favourite horse and if you asked them why they would tell you, because he doesn’t wear a saddle!

Spirit has a gorgeous long mane and tail which can be brushed and styled, and is a great size for imaginative play. He also fits in with their existing Spirit Riding Free toys and they made him right at home in the stable.

At 13cm tall Lucky has fully poseable arms and legs that allow her to be moved and positioned during play. She also has lovely long hair which is always a real hit with the girls and they had her hair up in a pony tail in no time!

We were also sent a Spirit Riding Free lunch box and water bottle, both available to buy over on Amazon. The girls have school dinners at the moment but next year when Eva goes into juniors she will take a packed lunch and she is already excited about using this. I love that there are so many amazing licensed products for Spirit Riding Free, I can remember when I was the same age as the girls and how it was so important to me to have my favourite TV show on my own lunch box.

Don’t forget to check out the new episodes of Spirit Riding Free on Netflix from today 22nd March. I have to admit, it’s not just the girls who can’t wait – I’m excited too!
