What to Pack Before Your Summer Getaway to Vegas

If you plan on visiting Las Vegas during the summer months (July, July or August) alone, with your family/relatives, or with a small or large group of friends but don’t know what to pack in your suitcase, don’t panic. We’ve got you covered.

Here are five essential items that you might want to consider taking with you. We have also included several other useful items you might want to pack before going to Vegas, so let’s dive in and take a closer look.

Five essential items that you should always pack when going to Las Vegas in the summer

The average temperatures in Las Vegas in June typically reach highs of 39C and lows of 16C. In July, it ranges from 20C (lows) to 41 (highs), and in August, roughly the same (19C to 40C).

With that said, here are five things to pack before setting off to Las Vegas on an adventure of a lifetime:

  1. Summer clothes (but also take a light jacket for when it’s cooler in the evening), including comfortable walking shoes, flip flops or Crocs, casual outfits, and swimsuits if you plan on sunbathing or taking a dip in the pool
  2. You can purchase sunscreen when you get there, but you might want to pack a bottle of your favourite brand just in case you can’t find it in the shops when you get there
  3. Sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful rays, especially if you plan on going out and about in the blistering summer Las Vegas heat
  4. If you plan on having a Las Vegas casino experience instead of playing online casino slots on your favourite sites, you will need to wear the correct clothing (the acceptable dress code varies from one casino to the next)
  5. Day bags/backpacks or a decent-sized purse or wallet so you can keep your passport/identification/travel documents etc. safe

These are just five essential items you should consider packing before going to Las Vegas during the summer months. Let’s now take a look at several other things that you might also like to pack.

Honourable mentions

You may even want to take a decent water bottle with you so you can keep yourself properly hydrated during the daytime hours when the sun is out, especially if you plan on going on excursions or guided tours or just wandering around the city to check out the sights. A summer hat is also a good idea.

Remember to take your phone charger, a hand sanitiser, a chapstick/skin moisturiser, and a few other first aid supplies, provided you are allowed to take certain items on the plane with you.
