The Best Child-Friendly Lunch Spots in London 

Finding somewhere to eat can get pretty overwhelming, and having the kids with you brings a whole new set of challenges, especially in a city as vibrant and busy as London. No one wants to be dragging around their tired toddler in a desperate hurry to find somewhere for a nice lunch.

Koya Ko, Hackney 

This version of the noodle bar is far more casual than its sister restaurants Koya Soho and Koya City. The Japanese restaurant also has a pretty savvy and fast-paced ordering system, meaning reduced wait time which is ideal for dining with impatient tots.  

 Koya Ko serves their child-friendly udon noodles on a colouring tray, providing your little one with a creative activity as well as delicious noodles. 

Pizza East, Shoreditch 

Pizza East is perfect for parents and children alike, as all Brits love pizza! So much so that the average person will eat a whopping 5208 pizza slices during their lifetime.  

However, this stylish Italian restaurant has much more to offer than pizza. Boasting kid-friendly meals such as lasagne and burger and chips, there is plenty for them to choose from, especially for any picky eaters. And in case this hasn’t convinced you already, under eight’s eat for free!  

Caravan, King’s Cross 

Caravan is a trendy restaurant with a converted warehouse interior and is situated within the bustling Granary Square. The restaurant is laid back with an upbeat atmosphere, and you can even eat your tasty brunch under the shining sun in their outdoor seating area.  

The fashionable venue is known for having very helpful staff, which is always a must when eating out with your children.   

Toconoco, Haggerston 

Encouraging your child to try new cuisines has many benefits, as it’s important for your child to try different types of food in order to promote healthy eating habits later in life. 

Tonococo is the perfect place to do this. This Japanese café is located on the bank of the canal next to Haggerston station. Serving delicious snacks, lunch plates and drinks, this venue displays Japanese culture in such an exciting way. It also has a gorgeous playroom that is perfect for your little ones.  

Heddon Street Kitchen, Picadilly 

Gordon Ramsey’s laidback but delightful restaurant provides all-day dining, and unsurprisingly serves food of the highest standard. If your child is under eight, they are also eligible to eat for free.
