Five simple ways to update your garden for the warmer weather
With the first of the Spring sunshine finally making an appearance and the promise of days in the garden to come, we have been thinking of ways to make some simple changes to our garden to make it a lovely space to enjoy as a family over the warmer months. There are many ways you can update your garden but I wanted to share my top six tips, ranging in budget, to give your garden a makeover!
Get planting
It’s the perfect time of year to get planting, be that flowers, vegetables or fruit trees. If you don’t have flower beds or space for vegetables, planting sunflowers with the children is always fun, or even potted herbs for window ledges. It’s a really inexpensive way to brighten up your garden so it’s more aesthetically pleasing but also a really fun project to enjoy as a family.
Jetwash your patio
Jetwashing your patio doesn’t have to cost a penny but is a great way to give your flags a complete makeover! Patio’s can naturally darken and stain over time but while the weather is nice it’s the perfect time to brighten and restore them. You can get everything from you need from a store such as lowes.
Replace your garden furniture
Replacing your garden furniture is a great way to make a big change to the overall feel and practicalities of your garden. We love eating al fresco in the warmer months and a garden furniture set can really hep you to utilise that outdoor space. There are various garden furniture websites you can order online from but we always prefer to use a UK garden furniture manufacturer.
This process is also a perfect opportunity to add some shade to your outdoor dining or lounging area. People like to get some modern cantilever parasols that offer flexible coverage and elevate the look of their garden with sleek, contemporary designs. These parasols are easy to adjust and ideal for protecting guests and food from direct sunlight. By combining stylish shade options with new furniture, your garden can become a versatile space for relaxation and entertaining.
Paint your shed
When you’re giving your garden a makeover, don’t forget your shed! You can get some lovely coloured wood paints now and perhaps choose something a little out of the ordinary to brighten up your garden. I love pastel colours in the style of beach huts, the perfect way to stay connected to seaside memories in the comfort of your own garden.
Add a feature
Adding a feature to your garden can really change the feel of it, be that a large water feature, a small garden statue, or simply adding in some colourful hanging baskets. Again, you can do this on varying budgets and make your feature as small or as large as you like depending on the size of your garden.
I’m hopeful for a little sunshine in the coming weeks and that we get to sit in our garden and admire our handy work! Fingers crossed!
