6 easy ways to brighten up your kitchen

If, like me, you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, it’s always nice to brighten up the room and make your surroundings as lovely as possible. Obviously a kitchen make over can be expensive but there are many ways you can add a little colour into your kitchen without spending a fortune.

Paint a feature wall

A really easy, and inexpensive way, to add a little colour to the kitchen is by painting a feature wall. Even better, it isn’t a permanent change and you can paint over it easily enough next time you decide to switch things up!

Upgrade your bin

If you think a bin is just a bin, you need to think again! Brabantia has bins for every room , every style and every purpose, in a whole range of colours. In bold primary colours, as well as stylish metallics, a new bin is a small way to make a big change!

Buy fresh flowers

One of my favourite ways to inject colour into our kitchen is with fresh flowers. For just a few pounds I can have a gorgeous display of flowers that not only brighten up the kitchen, but smell lovely too!

Use colourful accessories

Introducing some brightly coloured accessories such as toaster, kettle, coffee machine and microwave is a fun way to add a little colour to your kitchen. You can play it safe with pastel and metallics, or go all out with neon colours!

Wall Art

I love using wall art to change the whole feel of a room, especially in the kitchen. You can get some gorgeous prints in big, funky colours, that add a really modern feel and are a lot of fun too.

Switch up your blinds

Adding new kitchen blinds in block colours or bold prints is a great way to change the feel of the room. Matching your accessories to the blinds can really pull a look together.

So there you have it, six easy ways to add a little colour to your kitchen!
