5 birthday gift ideas for men!

Next month is Gaz’s 37th birthday, a date which always jumps up on me due to the craziness of the summer holidays, and every year without fail I find myself, on the eve of his birthday, panic buying! Men are incredibly hard to buy for, at least the men in my family especially, and whether it’s birthdays or Christmas, I remain stumped as to what to buy the man who pretty much has everything.
This year I have decided to surprise him with something a little more thoughtful than a gift I have picked up in the supermarket, and so I have compiled a list of ten birthday gift ideas.
1. Go Ape Tickets
Gaz and Lewis have done several Go Ape courses over the years and I even did one with Lewis for his 13th birthday last year, but Gaz and I have never done one together. Where as Gaz is very active and enjoys outdoor pursuits, I’m not quite as much of a fan – especially the it involves heights! That said, I think it would be fun for the two of us to do it and, as parents to four children, it would be great to spend some time together as a couple.
2. New Slippers
Ever since we had the kids and our wild nights out turned to cosy nights in, Gaz has definitely come on board with my belief that nothing beats a fluffy bath robe and a pair of bedroom slippers. Whilst he already has the robe, I bought him one for Fathers Day, he does need a new pair of slippers and although they may be more of a practical gift, I am fast realising that sometimes the practical gifts can still be the best!
3. Avengers Infinity War DVD
Gaz is a huge Marvel fan (he’s a loveable nerd), and is super excited about the release of Avengers Infinity War next week. Although a DVD may not always seem like a very personal gift, I think when you choose a film you know your partner will love, and is something he has dropped hints about for months on end, it will always be a well received gift!!
4. A driving experience
I’m pretty sure that the majority of men, and of course lots of women too, have dreamed of driving a Ferrari at somme point in their life. I know Gaz, although not hugely interested in cars, has often said how much he would love to do a driving day and get to drive some of the worlds best sports cars at high speed.
5. Annual cinema pass
Gaz loves to go to the cinema and I think an annual cinema pass is such a great gift for anyone! With prices starting at £17.99 a month for limitless cinema visits it doesn’t even have to be an annual pass, depending on your budget.
I’m hoping, with a few ideas under my belt this year, that birthday buying will be a little less stressful this year! Fingers Crossed!
