I’ll be honest with you here, I’m a sucker for a new skincare product and my bathroom cabinets are bursting with all kinds of lotions and potions which promise to make me look at least ten years younger (they don’t). On the opposite end of the spectrum is Gaz, who has used the same (two) skincare products for as long as I’ve known him, with no real interest in looking for something which suits his skin, and his age, more accordingly. And I guess that’s where I come in, the dutiful wife, seeking out an alternative brand for him to try in the form of NEUÚ.
NEUÚ products are powered by a range of scientifically developed, naturally effective bio-active seaweed ingredients to soothe and hydrate dry, sensitive skin. The experts at NEUÚ take into account the every day environmental challenges our skin is exposed to and combat the effects they have on our skin with their products. And they very kindly sent us a selection for Gaz to try.
The mens range is fantastic with a real selection of well sized, stylishly presented products covering all bases. With a hydrate moisturiser, a renew face scrub, invigorate hair and body wash, and a energise face wash, I was interested to see how Gaz would get on with a proper skin care regime.
Gaz particularly loved the NEUÚ Hydrate Moisturiser which comes in a 50ml size and contains Essential Marine Fatty Acids specially formulated for dry and damaged skin – perfect after the Summer. Containing macro-algae oil extract, the moisturiser has natural anti-inflammatory properties and, blended with biologically active plant ingredients, can soothe and dry irritated skin, prevent moisture loss, restore elasticity and is anti-ageing.
Gaz said that the moisturiser left his skin feeling really soft and refreshed, that it smelled really fresh and clean, and that it didn’t leave any sticky residue like moisturisers he has tried in the past. Obviously he has only been using it for the last week but he feels that his skin looks refreshed and is hopeful to continue to feel the results.
He also loved the NEUÚ Energise Face Wash (100ml) combining the purifying and calming properties of macro-algae oil with the invigorating scent and antiseptic power of grapefruit oil to naturally cleanse and refresh the face. He instantly commented on how good the face wash smelled and said that as he gently washed his face his skin felt cool and refreshed.
Afterwards he said his skin felt lovely and clean, completely grease-free, and I noticed over the first few days of using it his skin looked far clearer and brighter. Gaz said that he will definitely continue to use the face wash which is a definite sign that he was impressed with it!
